The Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo (AE-FUNAI) is a Nigerian higher institution located in Ndufu, Alike Ikwo of Ebonyi State. It was established in 2011. [1] [2] [3] It was formally called Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo until February 2nd , 2018 when it renamed by the Federal Government after the late civilian Vice President of Nigeria, Dr. Alex Ekwueme. The University sits on a land mass of 438 hectares . The University has 10, 000 and 2, 230 students and staff population respectively.

Ondo State State of Nigeria

Ondo State is a state in southwestern Nigeria. Ebonyi State State of Nigeria

Ebonyi State is a state in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria, bordered to the north and northeast by Benue State, Enugu State to the west, Cross River State to the east and southeast, and Abia State to the southwest. Named for the Abonyi (Aboine) River—a large part of which is in the state's south—Ebonyi State was formed from parts of Abia and Enugu state in 1996 and has its capital as Abakaliki.

Kwara State State of Nigeria

Kwara State is a state in the Middle Belt region of Nigeria, bordered to the east by Kogi State, to the north by Niger State, and to the south by Ekiti, Osun, and Oyo states while its western border makes up part of the international border with Benin Republic. Oyo State State of Nigeria

Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme Nigerian politician

Alexander Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme GCON was the first elected Vice President of Nigeria from 1979 to 1983 during the Second Nigerian Republic serving under President Shehu Shagari as a member of the National People’s Party (NPN).

Lazarus Edward Nnanyelu Ekwueme popularly known as Laz Ekwueme is a Nigerian musicologist, composer, scholar and actor. He is one of the pioneer lecturers of music in Nigeria and also a prolific writer. He is a scholar who has written numerous articles and books on music especially the role of music in the lives of Africans and Africans in diaspora. He is the traditional ruler of Oko Town kingdom.

Ikwo (local government) Place in Ebonyi State, Nigeria

Ikwo is the largest Local Government Area in Ebonyi State. It is situated on the eastern part of the state. The city and local government area has a land mass of approximately 500 square kilometers and shares a border with Abakaliki, Izzi and Ezza Local Government Areas as well as Cross River State. It is the home land of a former Governor of the state Chief Martin Elechi. Ikwo is the home to Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo (FUNAI) One of the Universities established by president Goodluck Jonathan. Ikwo also plays host to Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo at Ndufu Echara.

Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana is located in Unwana city, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. The polytechnic was founded in 1981 and is owned by the federal government. It is named after Akanu Ibiam, the First Republic Governor of Eastern Region, Nigeria. The school was initially located on the present site of Federal Government College Okposi, and moved to its site in Unwana in 1987. There are five schools that offer programs leading to National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in sciences, engineering, and humanities.

The Adeyemi College of Education is a federal government higher education institution located in Ondo City, Ondo State, Nigeria. It is affiliated to Obafemi Awolowo University for its degree programmes. Adeyemi College of Education was named after Canon M. C. Adeyemi in recognition of his immense contribution to educational development in then Ondo Province.

Paul University

Paul University, Awka (PUA) is located in Awka, Anambra State in Nigeria. It is a private Christian University. It was founded in 2009 by Bishops of the five ecclesiastical provinces of the Anglican Church East of the Niger to provide undergraduate training in Arts, Natural and Applied Sciences, Social Sciences and Management. The university which is fully residential has an estimated enrollment of around 400 students and has replaced St Paul's University College which was founded in 1904 by the Church Missionary Society of the Church of England to train church workers and teachers. Chinedum Uzoma Nwajiuba is a Nigerian academic and a professor of Agricultural Economics. He is the current Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo in Ebonyi, Nigeria.

Federal College of Education, Zaria is a College of science and art based in Zaria, Nigeria. It was established by the Government of Nigeria. It was formerly known as Advanced Teachers’ College Zaria. The institution was initially located at the present site of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic (Annex) before it was moved to Gyallesu, opposite Ahmadu Bello University, Congo in 1973.
