The Airbus A350 is a long-range, wide-body jet airliner developed by Airbus. The first A350 design proposed by Airbus in 2004, in response to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, would have been a development of the A330 with composite wings and new engines. As market support was inadequate, in 2006, Airbus switched to a clean-sheet "XWB" design, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB turbofan engines. The prototype first flew on 14 June 2013 from Toulouse in France. Siemiatkowski, auroral physicist at Byrd Station, 1964.

Ice Gate Glacier

Ice Gate Glacier is a narrow hanging glacier, tributary to Astudillo Glacier, between rock spurs on the west slope of Dallmeyer Peak, Danco Coast, Antarctica. It was named by the Polish Antarctic Expedition in about 1992, probably from the gatelike appearance of the spurs at the junction of the two glaciers.

Il Polo Glacier is a small glacier draining northward between Polar Times Glacier and Polarforschung Glacier into the Publications Ice Shelf, Antarctica. It was delineated in 1952 by John H. Roscoe from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47, and was named by Roscoe for Il Polo, a polar journal published by the Istituto Geografico, Forlì, Italy.

Astro Glacier is a glacier in Antarctica, between the Turner Hills and Tricorn Peak in the Miller Range, flowing northeast into the Marsh Glacier. It was seen by the northern party of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1961–62) and so named because an astronomical station was set up on the bluff at the mouth of the glacier in December 1961.

Brandau Glacier

Brandau Glacier is a wide tributary glacier, 15 nautical miles (28 km) long, flowing westward from an ice divide between Haynes Table and Husky Heights to enter Keltie Glacier just west of Ford Spur. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Lieutenant Commander James F. Brandau, U.S. Navy, a pilot with Squadron VX-6, Operation Deepfreeze 1964 and 1965.

Hudman Glacier

Hudman Glacier is a glacier draining south of Mount Landolt between Marze Peak and Miller Peak in Petvar Heights at the south end of the Sentinel Range, in the Ellsworth Mountains of Antarctica, flowing south-southeast to Minnesota Glacier. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1957–59, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Captain Rayburn A. Hudman, United States Marine Corps, who died in the crash of a Lockheed P2V-2n Neptune, modified for extreme range, flying in sub zero temperatures and Ski equippedfor landing on the Ice runways at McMurdo Sound Antarctica on October 18, 1956.
