Jalan Sultan Ismail Petra, Federal Route 259 (formerly Kelantan State Route D28), is a federal road in Kelantan, Malaysia. The roads connected Batang Merbau in the west to Tanah Merah in the east. [1] It was named after the 28th Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Ismail Petra, who reigned from 1979 to 2010.

In 2014, the highway was gazetted as Federal Route 259.

At most sections, the Federal Route 259 was built under the JKR R5 road standard, allowing maximum speed limit of up to 90 km/h.

The Sultan Ismail Bridge is a bridge in Muar town across the Muar River in Johor, Malaysia. It was the first bridge built across a river that connects Bandar Maharani, Muar to Tanjung Agas which is now named as part of Tangkak district. The bridge replaced old ferry services in the 1960s. The bridge was originally a toll bridge making the second toll bridge in Malaysia after Sultan Yahya Petra Bridge in Kelantan.

Sultan Ismail Petra ibni Almarhum Sultan Yahya Petra was the 28th Sultan of Kelantan and the 11th Sultan of Modern Kelantan who reigned from 30 March 1979 to 13 September 2010. He succeeded on the death of his father, Sultan Yahya Petra. He was succeeded by his eldest son, Sultan Muhammad V who ascended the throne on 13 September 2010 after being deemed incapacitated. Sultan Ismail Petra died at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kota Bharu on 28 September 2019, aged 69, after 10 years of suffering from a massive stroke and was buried at the Kelantan Royal Mausoleum.

Sultan Ismail Petra Airport is an airport that operates in Kota Bharu, a city in the state of Kelantan in Malaysia. The airport is named after Ismail Petra of Kelantan, the 28th Sultan of Kelantan, who ruled from 1979 to 2010. The present new terminal was officially opened in September 2002. The 12,000 m2 airport terminal has three aircraft stands, three aerobridges and is able to handle maximum capacity 1.45 million passengers. The airport consists of 9 check-in counters and offers flights between a total of 7 domestic destinations from Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, Firefly, MYAirline, and Malindo Air. In 2014, this made it the busiest airport in the East Coast.

Federal Route 136 is a federal road in Kedah and Perak state, Malaysia. The roads connects Kuala Ketil, Kedah in the north until Parit Buntar, Perak in the south. This road used to be 121.331 km long, but now it is only 84 km.
