This list is intended to be a complete compilation of properties and districts listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Rensselaer County, New York, United States. Seven of the properties are further designated National Historic Landmarks.
The Lucius Gleason House, also known as Liverpool Village Hall and as the Gleason Mansion, is a historic home located at Liverpool, Onondaga County, New York. It was built about 1860, and is a large two-story, Italianate style, stuccoed brick dwelling. It has a telescoping plan with a two-story, hip roofed main block; followed by a smaller two-story, gable roofed wing; and a 1+1⁄2-story gabled appendage. The Gleason Mansion is now home to the Liverpool Village Museum and Historian's office. Operated by the Liverpool Historical Association, the museum features changing exhibits about local history.
The Main Street Historic District in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is a 2.5-acre (1.0 ha) historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 11, 2002. The listing was amended in some way in a revised listing on March 5, 2002. In 2002, there were 20 buildings in the district that were deemed to contribute to its historic character.
The Lee, Higginson & Company Bank Building is a historic bank building located at 41 Broad Street in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan, New York City. The structure was designed by architects Cross & Cross and built in 1928–1929. It is a 10-story, Classical Revival style, with a top floor penthouse. It features a slightly curved front facade, architectural sculpture by Leo Friedlander, and murals by Griffith B. Coale.
Presbyterian Church in New Scotland and the New Scotland Cemetery is a historic Presbyterian church and cemetery located at New Scotland in Albany County, New York. The church was built in 1849 and extended in 1868. It is a 2-story, three-bay-wide, rectangular frame structure with a 1+1⁄2-story front projecting vestibule / entrance block. It features a large, two-stage square central projecting tower. The education wing was completed in 1957. The cemetery includes about 500 burials dating from the 18th to 20th century. The congregation was founded in 1787 and the present structure is its second building.
The Zink Block is a historic commercial building located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York. It was built in 1896 for William T. Zink for his furniture sales and repair store. It is a five-story, brick building with a flat roof and Italian Renaissance Revival detailing. It sits on a stone foundation. The seven bay front facade features two stacked tripartite bay window units on the second through fourth floors.
Jonesville is a hamlet in Saratoga County, New York, United States.
The New Kasson Apartments is a historic apartment building located on James Street in the Near Northeast neighborhood of Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York. It was designed by architectural firm of Merrick and Randall and built in 1898. It is a seven-story, Renaissance Revival style building consisting of two rectangular multi-story blocks. It is a yellow brick and limestone building with cast stone and terra cotta details. The facades features projecting three-sided bays extending from the first through fifth floors. It is located across from the Leavenworth Apartments built in 1912.
The J.J. Deal and Son Carriage Factory was the largest factory built in Jonesville, Michigan. It is the only 19th century factory remaining in the City. It is located at 117 West Street. On August 1, 2012, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The building was redeveloped into the Heritage Lane Apartments in 2015.
Dick Block is a historic commercial building located at North Tonawanda in Niagara County, New York. It was built in 1891 and is a three-story, three bay, red brick building in the Romanesque Revival style. It features rounded windows and arches, rusticated stone detailing, and ornamental brickwork. The first floor storefronts were modernized about 1946, when the building was occupied by the Witkop and Holmes Company furniture store.
Penland Post Office and General Store, also known as Bailey Lumber Company Office Building and Bailey Lumber Company Office and General Merchandise Store, is a historic post office and general store located at Penland, Mitchell County, North Carolina. It was built about 1900, and is a long, one-story, frame building with a front-gable roof and rough-sawn board and batten siding. The building housed the office and store of the Bailey Lumber Company from about 1900 to 1916, and a general store from about 1902 to 1974. It has housed the Penland post office since 1934 and is the oldest active post office facility in Mitchell County and is the county's last remaining Fourth Class post office.
House at 461 Spruce Lake Road is a historic home located in Summit, Schoharie County, New York. It was built about 1850, and is a two-story, double pile, front-gable form vernacular Greek Revival style dwelling with a one-story, single pile, side wing. The main block and most of side wing is board-wall construction consisting of horizontally-stacked hemlock planks. The front facade features corner pilasters and a moulded projecting cornice.
Cannon–Brownell–Herrington Farmstead is a historic home and farm located near Johnsonville, Rensselaer County, New York. The original section of the farmhouse was built about 1830, with the central block and wing added about 1870. The house consists of a two-story, central block with flanking 1 1/2-story wings. It has a long woodshed ell, now converted to an apartment. Also on the property are the contributing corn crib, main barn group, and sheep barn.
Cyrus Rexford House is a historic home located at Rexford, Saratoga County, New York. It consists of a three-story, Stick style main block built in 1883, with a 1+1⁄2-story rear block built about 1850. It also has a one-story rear ell. The main block has a steeply pitched hipped roof with bracketed overhang. The house features an elaborate mix of decorative detailing and polychrome paint scheme. Also on the property are the contributing carriage house and gambrel roofed barn.
The Abraham Best House is a historic house located at 113 Vischer Ferry Road near Vischer Ferry, Saratoga County, New York.
Jonesville Cemetery is a historic rural cemetery located at Jonesville, Saratoga County, New York. The cemetery was established in 1864, and designed by Burton A. Thomas. It includes the remains of 252 individuals who were relocated early in the cemetery's history and date between 1799 and 1863. It remains an active burial ground.
Eleventh Street Methodist Episcopal Chapel, also known as the People's Home Church and Settlement, Russian Ukrainian Polish Pentecostal Church, and Father's Heart Ministry Center, is a historic Methodist Episcopal chapel located in the East Village neighborhood of Lower Manhattan, New York City. The chapel was built in 1868–1869, and is a raised two-story, three bay, gable front brick building. Originally constructed in a vernacular Gothic Revival style, it was altered between 1900 and 1901 in the Colonial Revival style. Associated with the chapel is the former rectory. It was built about 1856 as a four-story, three bay single family dwelling in a vernacular Greek Revival style. The rectory was converted to a settlement house in 1900–1901.
Beaver Falls Grange Hall No. 554 is a historic Grange hall located at Beaver Falls in Lewis County, New York. It was built in 1892, and is a two-story, wood-frame building measuring 30 feet wide and 60 feet deep. It sits on a fieldstone foundation and has a front gable roof. It features a one-story, hipped roof front porch. The first floor was converted to a store in 1915.
Eli and Diadama Beecher House is a historic home located at 2 Military Road in Beecher Hollow, Saratoga County, New York.
Fargo Estate Historic District is a national historic district located at Buffalo, Erie County, New York. The district encompasses 390 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 2 contributing objects on the Lower West Side of Buffalo. This predominantly residential district developed between about 1850 and 1930, and includes notable examples of Italianate, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, and American Craftsman style architecture. A 2 1/2-block section of the neighborhood was developed between about 1888 and 1910 on the former "Fargo Estate," the home of William Fargo. Located in the district are the separately listed Engine House No. 2 and Hook and Ladder No. 9 and a section of the Delaware Park-Front Park System. Other notable buildings include the Benedict House, Plymouth Methodist Episcopal Church / now Karpeles Library and Manuscript Museum (1912), and West Side Presbyterian Church / now Iglesia de Cristo Misionera (1882).
