Grahamsville is a hamlet at the junction of NY 42 and 55 in the Town of Neversink, in Sullivan County, New York, United States. It is near the western end of Rondout Reservoir, and is the southernmost community in the Catskill Park. It has the ZIP Code 12740 and the 985 telephone exchange in the 845 area code.
The Langham is a luxury apartment building located at 135 Central Park West on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City. After the site was unused for more than 15 years, the building was constructed between 1905 and 1907. Built at a cost of US $2 million, the structure included modern amenities, such as ice accessible from every apartment. The building was designed in the French Second Empire style by architects Clinton and Russell. It was listed as a contributing property to the federal government designated Central Park West Historic District on November 9, 1982.
Boulevard Park is a historic residential neighborhood in Sacramento, California. It is also the Boulevard Park Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Angelica Park Circle Historic District is a national historic district in Angelica, Allegany County, New York, United States. The 90 acres (36 ha) district encompasses 97 buildings, including the octagonal village green, the county fairgrounds, and the Old Allegany County Courthouse. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
Hemlock Fairground is a national historic district and fairground located at Hemlock in Livingston County, New York. The district covers 35.6 acres (144,000 m2) with five contributing buildings and one contributing object, the racetrack. There are two clusters of buildings near the racetrack. One cluster consists of the grandstand and livestock sheds located along the perimeter of the track at the southwest corner of the site. The second cluster consists of exhibition buildings located east of the track.
Brown's Race Historic District is a national historic district located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district contains 15 contributing buildings, 2 contributing structures, and 14 contributing sites. All of the principal buildings are used for commercial purposes and are sited along or near the curving south rim of the Genesee River gorge at the rim of the High Falls. The district comprises a collection of 19th-century industrial buildings built of brick and stone, and ranging in size from one- to six-stories. Also in the district is the mill race and the 19th century iron Pont De Rennes bridge, which is used today as a pedestrian bridge and viewing platform of the High Falls and surrounding gorge.
The Maplewood Historic District is located in Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district is distinguished as having landscape designs, including Maplewood Park, originally laid out by Frederick Law Olmsted.
Constableville Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Constableville in Lewis County, New York. The district includes 105 contributing buildings, one contributing structure, and one contributing site. The buildings are commercial, residential, civic, and church structures built primarily between about 1828 and 1900. Also included are a rural cemetery dating from the late 19th century, one historic bridge, and an early 20th-century school.
The Vander Veer Park Historic District is a historic district in Davenport, Iowa, United States, that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Over its 70.8-acre (287,000 m2) area, in 1985 it included 66 contributing buildings, two contributing structures, one contributing site, and one contributing object.
Cobleskill Historic District is a national historic district located at Cobleskill in Schoharie County, New York. The district includes 180 contributing buildings and eight contributing sites. It encompasses a commercial area, several residential streets, churches, an old school, a railroad, and a fairgrounds. The area includes a small stream that runs through a park containing a millpond. The focal point of the community is the 1874 Hotel Augustan, now used for commercial purposes. The oldest building is the Bull's Head Inn, built in 1802.
Essex County Fairgrounds is a historic county fair located at Westport in Essex County, New York. The fairgrounds include 15 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and seven contributing structures. Four of these, the Grandstand, Judge's Stand, Floral Hall, and Racetrack, were among the original resources on the site when the fair opened in 1885. The Cooperative Extension Building was built about 1923 and is a two-story, rectangular, Colonial Revival style building with an octagonal cupola.
Palmer–Lewis Estate is a historic estate and national historic district located at Bedford, Westchester County, New York. The district contains 12 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and four contributing structures. It includes the main house, 15 farm-related outbuildings, and landscape features such as stone walls, walled fields, the remains of an orchard and vegetable garden, a barnyard complex, and the ruins of a dairy barn. The main house is a late 18th-century residence redesigned about 1860 in the Italianate style.
Grand Forks County Fairgrounds WPA Structures is a collection of five structures within the Grand Forks County Fairgrounds in Grand Forks, North Dakota, that were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
Palmyra Village Historic District is a national historic district at Palmyra in Wayne County, New York.
Morris Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Morris in Otsego County, New York. The district encompasses 287 contributing buildings and 3 contributing sites in the village of Morris. The buildings date from about 1800 through the 1960s, and include representative examples of popular architectural styles. Located in the district is the separately listed Zion Episcopal Church Complex and Harmony Cemetery. Other notable buildings include the Otsego County Fairgrounds complex, First Baptist Church (1869), Methodist Church (1870), former Universalist Church (1841), former Post Office (1883-1884), Community Bank, Kenyon Library (1845), and Town of Morris Highway Department.
The Muscatine County Fairgrounds are located in West Liberty, Iowa, United States. It hosts the annual Muscatine County Fair. The Muscatine County Historic Preservation Commission received a grant from the State of Iowa to study the fairgrounds in 2014. Most of it was listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places as the West Liberty Fairgrounds Historic District in 2015. At the time of its nomination it consisted of 42 resources, which included 16 contributing buildings, two contributing sites, two contributing structures, 16 non-contributing buildings, and six non-contributing structures. Historic tax credits will be used to rehabilitate the historic buildings on the fairgrounds.
Briggs Terrace, also known as Evergreen Lane, is a nationally recognized historic district located in Nevada, Iowa, United States.
Fred Maytag Park is a public park located in Newton, Iowa, United States. It was listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. At the time of its nomination it contained 39 resources, which included seven contributing buildings, nine contributing sites, eight contributing structures, four contributing objects, four non-contributing buildings, two non-contributing sites, three non-contributing structures, and two non-contributing objects. The park was a gift from F.L. Maytag, founder of the Maytag Company, to the people of Newton. It is significant as an example of a privately funded public park during the Great Depression. The 40-acre (16 ha) partial of land was acquired by Maytag in 1935. It had previously served as the fairgrounds owned by the Jasper County Agricultural Society. He made an agreement with the city council that the park would be privately owned and operated, but open for public use. The city was required to provide water and electricity. It remained a privately owned park until 1977 when it was conveyed to the city.
