The Bindhyabasini Temple is the oldest temple in the city of Pokhara, Nepal. It's located in Ward No. 2, Miruwa. It regularly attracts a large number of locals, Nepalese from across the country, and foreigners alike. The main temple is devoted to the goddess Bindhyabasini, a Bhagawati (भगवती) who is the incarnation of Kali. There are also temples for other gods and goddesses, such as Saraswati, Shiva, Hanuman, and Ganesha on the premises. The temple is situated at the top of a small hill and can be accessed via stone staircases on the East, North and South-East. The Statue of Lord Hanuman covered in Sindoor next to statue of Lord Ganesha welcomes the devotees near the entrance.

Rajopadhyaya also called Newari Brahmin is the main division of Newar Brahmins in Nepal. The Rajopadhyayas claim to be originated in Kānyakubja or modern day Kannauj, in the north of India, a city with a prestigious history from where the Bahuns also claim to come. They along with Bahuns claim to be sub-division of Kānyakubja Brāhmins.

In religion and spirituality, a pilgrimage is a very long journey or search of great moral significance. Sometimes, it is a journey to a sacred area or shrine of importance to innate faith. Members of every major religion participate in pilgrimages. A person who makes such a journey is called a pilgrim.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Dipankha Yatra</span>

Dipankha Yatra is a pilgrimage that takes place around the heart of Nepal "The Kathmandu Valley". Devotees walk through the journey barefooted to 131 religious destinations within 2 days. The timing is decided by the astrological calendar. Dipankha Yatra is mostly celebrated by Buddhist as well as Hindu Newars of the valley. The followers are guided by Gurjus of Newar community. It takes place only when five events fall on the same day:

Gaindakot is a municipality in Nawalpur District in the Gandaki Zone of southern Nepal. It became a municipality in May 2014 by merging the existing Mukundapur, Amarapuri, and Gaindakot VDCs. It was again expanded by merging Ratanpur VDC. It is situated on the shore of Narayani River in the lap of Maula Kalika temple. So this place has a great possibility of tourism development. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census, it had a population of 58,841 and 13,623 individual households according to 2011 Nepal census.

Bhagwati Temple or Chandi Bhagwati Temple is a famous Hindu temple situated in the heart of Rajbiraj, Saptari. This temple, whose major deity goddess is Bhagwati is a main attraction for Nepali and Indian pilgrims. People are likely to come here during Bada Dashain. Some thousands of goats are sacrificed here during Dashain. The temple complex holds many Hindu god and goddess temples like Hanuman Temple, Shiva Temple and Bishwakarma Temple. A small pond Bhagwati Pokhari is located backside of the temple, where Chhath is performed every year.
