The community is served by Abington Police, and the majority of Meadowbrook is represented at the township level by Abington Ward 1 Commissioner Steven Kline. Rydal-Meadowbrook Civic Association [2] serves neighbors in this community by hosting candidate forums and advocating for public safety and property rights of homeowners.
Meadowbrook Station along SEPTA Regional Rail's West Trenton Line served the village. According to histories maintained by the Old York Road Historical Society, this station was previously called Paul Brook Station in the early days.
Meadowbrook and a sort of street gang named "Meadowbrook Mafia" was cited in an episode ("Just Say No", 2x20) of The Goldbergs , a television series set in the nearby Jenkintown. [3] [4]

Abington Senior High School is a four-year co-educational high school in Abington, Pennsylvania, United States. A part of the Abington School District, the school was a two-year high school known as Abington South Campus from September 1964 until June 1983. In September 1983, Abington South Campus again became a three-year high school and eventually changed its name back to Abington Senior High. The 2017-2018 enrollment was 1,808.
