Mixter Blacksmith Shop

Mixter Blacksmith Shop is a historic blacksmith shop located at Warrensburg, Warren County, New York. It was built about 1840 in the Greek Revival style to house a commercial operation and modified about 1890 in the Queen Anne style to accommodate mixed use activities. It is a two-story building built into a slope. It is constructed of load-bearing local granite and topped by a medium pitched roof clad in raised seam metal. [2]

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. [1]

Grooms Tavern Complex is a historic tavern located at Grooms Corners in Saratoga County, New York. The complex consists of the tavern, a wagon and blacksmith shop, and a frame privy. The tavern building was built about 1825 and is a 2-story, timber-framed, gable-roofed building in a vernacular Federal style. It consists of a main block with ​1 12-story, frame kitchen wing in the rear. When expanded to two stories in the 1840s, a Greek Revival style cornice was added. The building was partially remodeled in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The tavern building was also operated as a general store. The wagon and blacksmith shop was constructed in the 1840s and is a 2-story, rectangular, timber-framed building with a gable roof in the Greek Revival style.

Probably built in the late 18th century, it is a rare example in the state of a stone blacksmith shop, with a documented history of more than century's use for the purpose. Goedert Meat Market United States historic place

The Goedert Meat Market, also known as the Main Street Mall, is a historic building located in McGregor, Iowa, United States. The two-story, single-unit, brick building was completed in 1890 in the Italianate style. It maintains the only complete cast-iron storefront in town. The storefront was manufactured by Mesker Bros. Front Builders of St. Louis, Missouri. The facility dates from the time when all aspects of the meat business from slaughter, to processing, to sales were housed in one building. The New York-style meat market was built for John Goedert, who maintained his residence upstairs. By the turn of the 20th-century it housed Bergman's deli/butcher shop, and remained a butcher shop until 1944. The building was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. In 2002 it was listed as a contributing property in the McGregor Commercial Historic District.

Bigler Building United States historic place

The Bigler Building, also known as the Riegel Blacksmith Shop, is a historic building located in Clermont, Iowa, United States. The simple, single-story brick structure was built in about 1906 by Fred Bigler who operated the local lumberyard and was a contractor. This property had long been the location for a blacksmith shop. Burkhard Riegel, a German immigrant, opened his shop in this building in 1931. He rented the space until he bought the building from Bigler's widow in 1946. After his death in 1990, the Clermont Historical Society acquired the building for a living history museum, and it contains its original blacksmithing equipment and furnishings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 9, 1995.

Philip and Anna Parrish Kirchner Log House United States historic place

The Philip and Anna Parrish Kirchner Log House is a historic building located north of Peterson, Iowa, United States. The Kirchners moved from the Albany, New York area to southwest Clay County in 1867, and built this log house the same year. It is located on part of the property that his older brother A.J. "Gust" Kirchner claimed in 1856. They were among the first Caucasian settlers in the county. A summer kitched was later added to the west side of the house and a blacksmith shop onto the north side. The Kirchners lived here until they built a two-story frame house nearby in 1882. Philip's sister, Charlotte Kirchner Butler, bought the property after his death and restored the log house to its original condition around 1910, which meant the removal of the summer kitchen and the blacksmith shop. The property remained in the family until at least the 1990s, and housed a display of family artifacts. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Irvine Blacksmith Shop, at 14952 Sand Canyon Ave. in Irvine, California, was built in 1915-16 by the Irvine Company. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
