The Tuthilltown Gristmill is located off Albany Post Road in Gardiner, New York, United States. It was built in 1788, as the National Register reports, and has been expanded several times since.
The Sheridan Flouring Mills, also known as the Mill Inn, are an industrial complex in Sheridan, Wyoming. The mills were a major component of the economy of north central Wyoming, providing collection, storage and milling of locally produced wheat and other grains into flour and other milled products. The original mill was established by Captain Scott W. Snively in the early 1890s. The Sheridan Milling and Manufacturing Company was sold to J.W. Denio in 1903, who operated the mill at its location on Broadway Avenue near downtown Sheridan. A catastrophic fire destroyed this mill in 1919, resulting in the purchase of a new location on Coffeen Avenue and construction of a much larger mill.
Hanford Mills Museum, also known as Kelso Mill, is a historic grist mill and sawmill and national historic district located at East Meredith, New York in Delaware County, New York. The district contains nine contributing buildings and three contributing structures. The complex includes both natural and structural facilities. It includes a mill race from Kortright Creek to the damned up Mill Pond which supplies the waterwheel, a spillway for the pond's overflow, a section of old (1900) New York Central Railroad track, two railroad bridges crossing Kortright Creek, and a variety of buildings. The main structure is a mill building dating to the 1820s with additions from the 1870s, 1880s, and 1890s. The four story wood frame structure is approximately 150 feet long and 120 feet high. Also on the property is a one-story depot building with grain elevator and storage facilities. It is now operated as a museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
Croghan Island Mill is a historic saw mill complex and concrete dam located near Croghan in Lewis County, New York. The mill complex consists of three blocks; the mill building main block, cold storage block, and office block. The main block is a five-by-three-bay, 2+1⁄2-story gable-roofed structure sheathed in clapboard, approximately 30 feet by 56 feet in size. The cold storage block is a 1-story, gable-roofed addition to the north side of the main block. The office block is a 1+1⁄2-story, shed-roofed addition projecting south of the main block. The complex also includes the wheel house and flume box in a 1+1⁄2-story ell projecting off the main block. The concrete dam was built in 1906 and has an approximately 2-story drop.
The Municipal Asphalt Plant is a historic building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. Originally an asphalt plant, the structure was built between 1941 and 1944 and since 1984 has been home to Asphalt Green, a pool and fitness center.
Minterburn Mill is a former textile mill complex located at 215 East Main Street, in the Rockville village of Vernon, Connecticut. Developed beginning in 1834, it was the first place in Rockville to be developed industrially, and the surviving buildings provide a view of evolutionary changes in mill architecture. The mill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It was converted into an apartment complex in 2016 by the state.
Victory Mills is a historic textile mill building located at Victory in Saratoga County, New York. It was built in 1918 by the American Manufacturing Company and is a rectangular, five story brick and reinforced concrete building measuring 282 feet (86 m) by 157 feet (48 m). It has about 220,000 square feet (20,000 m2) of space. It features six tower structures, five for stairs and one holding a water tower. It operated as a cotton mill until 1929, when operations moved to Guntersville, Alabama. In 1937, it was purchased by the United Board and Carton Corporation, later A.L. Garber / Wheelabrator-Frye, then Clevepak Corporation / Victory Specialty Packaging Company who manufactured folding cartons.
Robertson–Cataract Electric Building, also known as The Corn Exchange and 100 South, is a historic commercial building located in downtown Buffalo in Erie County, New York. It was built in 1915–1916, and is a four-story, five bay, reinforced concrete building faced in brick in the Renaissance Revival-style. The building was expanded in 1919. It features terra cotta and polychromatic brick details in hues of red, brown, and purple. It originally housed a retail showroom and warehouse space for the Robertson–Cataract Electric Co.
The Pennsylvania State Office Building is a historic office building located in the Hahnemann neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built between 1957 and 1958, and is an 18-story, steel frame and reinforced concrete building.
Chalmers Knitting Mills was a historic factory building located at Amsterdam, Montgomery County, New York. It was built in 1913 and expanded in 1916.
Buffalo Meter Company Building is a historic daylight factory building located in Buffalo, Erie County, New York. It was designed and built by the Lockwood, Green & Co. engineering firm in 1915-1917 and is a four-story, reinforced concrete building faced in red brick. It has a fifth floor penthouse, raised basement, a large three story addition built in 1945, and two story office addition built in 1949. The building measures 284 feet by 82 feet.
Turner Brothers' Building–American Household Storage Company is a historic manufacturing and warehouse building located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York. The original section was built about 1848, and it is a four-story, wood frame, brick faced building in the Gothic Revival style. A six-story, two bay reinforced concrete addition was built in 1910. The building has three-story rear additions built in 1889 and 1940.
The Storehouse No. 2 is a historic warehouse located in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. It was a building in the United States Navy Fleet supply base that was built during World War I. It was built in 1917 by Turner Construction, and is an eight-story, reinforced concrete building in the Classical Revival style. The building measures 700 feet by 200 feet and occupies the entire block bounded by Second and Third avenues and 30th and 31st streets.
F.N. Burt Company Factory is a historic former box factory complex located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York. Another factory operated by F.N. Burt in Buffalo was the F.N. Burt Company Factory "C".
Former Nebel Knitting Mill is a historic textile mill building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was designed by noted mill architect Richard C. Biberstein and built in 1927 and expanded in 1929. It is a two-story, reinforced concrete building with a brick veneer and decorative concrete detailing with Art Moderne detailing. The building has a rectangular plan measuring 204 feet across the facade and 182 feet deep. The 1927 portion has a stepped-parapet roofline with concrete coping, while the mill's 1929 part has concrete coping and a simple, crenelated roofline.
Herschell–Spillman Motor Company Complex, also known as the Remington Rand, Inc. Complex, is a historic daylight factory complex located at North Tonawanda, Niagara County, New York. The original section was built about 1895 as the powerhouse for the Buffalo and Niagara Falls Electric Railway. Later reinforced concrete and brick factory additions were made for the Herschell Spillman Company in about 1913, 1917, 1920, and 1920–1921. These include a four-story, section and additions made to earlier buildings to raise them to four stories and form an "L"-shaped complex. Also on the property is a five-story water tower. Herschell Spillman occupied the plant until it was sold to Remington Rand in 1925. Remington Rand continued operations at the factory until about 1965. The buildings have been renovated into loft apartments.
Ansco Company Charles Street Factory Buildings, also known as Agfa-Ansco, General Aniline and Film (GAF), and Anitec, is a historic factory complex located at Binghamton, Broome County, New York. They are two early factory buildings built in 1910–1911, and a warehouse built in 1953–1954. The larger building measures approximately 45 feet wide and 230 feet long. It is a three-story, rectangular brick heavy timber frame building. The powerhouse is a two-story, reinforced concrete and steel brick building measuring 60 feet square. The buildings housed manufacturing operations of Ansco for photographic paper.
The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company Warehouse, also known as the A&P Warehouse and The Keystone Warehouse Company, is a historic warehouse building located in Buffalo, Erie County, New York. It was built in 1917, is an eight-story reinforced concrete industrial building encompassing 250,000 square feet of warehouse space. It has a one-story wing built of concrete block walls and steel framing. The building was occupied by The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company until 1975.
The Warren Motor Car Company Building, also known as Lincoln Motor Car Company Building, is a factory located at 1331 Holden Street in Detroit, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.
The Kahn Tailoring Company building is a historic structure located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. It was designed by Indianapolis architects Vonnegut & Bohn and built in 1913. The building is a four-story Neoclassical style structure with reinforced concrete behind a brick veneer. The front entrance features a cornice with decorative features.
