Cheektowaga is a town in Erie County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the town has grown to a population of 89,877. The town is in the north-central part of the county, and is an inner ring suburb of Buffalo. The town is the second-largest suburb of Buffalo, after the Town of Amherst.

Entranceway at Main Street at Roycroft Boulevard is a suburban residential subdivision entranceway built in 1918. It is on Main Street in the hamlet of Snyder, New York, in the town of Amherst within Erie County. The entranceway is a marker that represents the American suburbanization of rural areas, suburbanization that occurred through transportation-related land development on the edges of urban areas. It consists of a variety of half-height wall formations, featuring a semicircular wall on the Roycroft Boulevard median's intersection with Main Street. The entranceway was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 7, 2005.
Villa Maria Motherhouse Complex, or Felician Sisters Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent Chapel and Convent, is a historic Roman Catholic convent located at Cheektowaga in Erie County, New York. It is included in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo. It was constructed in 1927, and is a three-part Gothic Revival building that was built for the Felician Sisters of St. Francis to house a boarding and day high school, public and private chapels and the Motherhouse/Novitiate. The school, known as Villa Maria Academy, closed in 2006. The school property was repurposed as affordable housing for seniors.

St. Mary's Institute of O'Fallon, also known as the Motherhouse for the Congregation of the Sisters of the Adoration of the Most Precious Blood, is a historic convent, school, and national historic district located at O'Fallon, St. Charles County, Missouri. The district encompasses 11 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site. The main building is the three-story, Gothic Revival style motherhouse. Its original section was built in 1874, with a series of interconnected wings dating from 1874 through 1997 making for a complex, irregular plan building. The building includes the convent, two chapels, academy, novitiate, dining room, kitchen, gym, and infirmary. A part of the building houses the O'Fallon City Hall.

Founded by three Benedictine nuns from St. Andrew's Abbey, Sarnen, Switzerland who immigrated in 1882, it was designated the motherhouse for the community in 1909. Its main building and chapel were listed on the National Register of Historic Places as St. Gertrude's Convent and Chapel in 1979.
