UTP + N-acetyl-alpha-D-galactosamine 1-phosphate diphosphate + UDP-N-acetyl-alpha-D-galactosamine

The enzyme from plants and animals also acts on N-acetyl-alpha-D-glucosamine 1-phosphate.
