Vesper Cliff ( also known as Tioga Terrace, Glenbetsy, and Robert C. John House) an architecturally distinguished Greek Revival-style residence located immediately outside of the Town of Owego in Tioga County, New York. The oldest part of the house was built in 1791 with an addition of "plank" construction which was added in 1834, a monumental temple-fronted addition designed by architect Alexander Jackson Davis. Also on the property is an unusual barn with a distinctive neoclassical facade treatment (barn has since collapsed), as well as a chicken coop and ice house. [2]

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. [1]

About 1850 it was extensively altered with the construction of a higher, more steeply pitched roof and an ell-shaped Gothic Revival style porch with Tudor-arched details. Also on the property is a contributing mid-19th century barn with decorative bargeboards, a shed, and a small Greek Revival structure now used as a garage.

Gilbert E. Purple House, also known as Northern Tioga Telephone Company building, is a historic home located at Newark Valley in Tioga County, New York. It was built in 1903 and purchased by Gilbert Purple in 1911, who expanded it to its present form in 1913. It is a modest 2+12-story Queen Anne style wood-frame building on a stone and concrete foundation. A large 2-story addition was completed about 1930 for use by the telephone company. By the mid-20th century, the building served dual purpose as residence and offices of the Northern Tioga Telephone Company, a small, independent local telephone company.

The Vesper Boat Club is an amateur rowing club located at #10 Boathouse Row in the historic Boathouse Row of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1865 as the Washington Barge Club, the club's name was changed to Vesper Boat Club in 1870.

Elmwood, also known as "The Cliffs," is a historic home located at Oyster Bay in Nassau County, New York. It was built in 1836 for New York merchant Thomas F. Youngs (1805–1883) in the Greek Revival style. The original house is a 2-story, gable-roofed, five-by-three-bay wood-frame house. It was expanded about 1915 during its ownership by Charles L. Tiffany II (1878–1947), son of Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933), and his wife, the suffragist and philanthropist, Katrina Brandes Ely Tiffany (1875-1927). It features a prominent cornice and architrave and an imposing tetrastyle Ionic order portico. Also on the property are an assortment of 19th century dependencies including a gazebo, tool shed, ice house, greenhouse, barns, and a brick coach house built in 1918 by Mr. Tiffany. The property also features a tall, octagonal, board and batten water tower.
