The 2025 Dearborn mayoral election will take place on November 4, 2025. Incumbent Mayor Abdullah Hammoud, who was first elected in 2021, is running for re-election against IT manager Nagi Almudhegi. Because only two candidates filed for the election, the primary election was cancelled. [1] Though the election is formally nonpartisan, Hammoud is a Democrat, and was a leader in the 2024 Uncommitted National Movement, [2] while Almudhegi is a Republican, and supported by prominent Michigan Republicans.
