The Jones Beach State Park, Causeway and Parkway System is a national historic district located in Nassau County, New York, United States.
The historic district encompasses Jones Beach State Park and many of the related causeways and parkways built by Robert Moses to connect to it. [2] [3] Furthermore, the district consists of a total of 22 buildings and 33 structures. [3] [4]
The causeways and parkways landmarked as part of the district are the portions of the Meadowbrook & Wantagh State Parkways south of the Southern State Parkway – in addition to the Ocean Parkway and the Loop Parkway. [2] [3] [5]

Greenvale is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the towns of North Hempstead and Oyster Bay in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. It is considered part of the Greater Roslyn area, which is anchored by the Incorporated Village of Roslyn. The population was 1,069 at the time of the 2020 census.
The Town of Babylon is one of ten towns in Suffolk County, New York, United States. Its population was 218,223 as of the 2020 census. Parts of Jones Beach Island, Captree Island and Fire Island are in the southernmost part of the town. It borders Nassau County to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. At its westernmost point, it is about 20 miles (32 km) from New York City at the Queens border, and about 30 miles (48 km) from Manhattan. The village of Babylon is also within the town.
Jones Beach State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of New York. It is located in southern Nassau County on Jones Beach Island, a barrier island linked to Long Island by the Meadowbrook State Parkway, Wantagh State Parkway, and Ocean Parkway. The park was created during Robert Moses' administration as President of the Long Island State Park Commission as part of the development of parkways on Long Island.
The Meadowbrook State Parkway is a 12.52-mile (20.15 km) controlled-access parkway in Nassau County, New York, in the United States. Its southern terminus is at a full cloverleaf interchange with the Bay and Ocean parkways in Jones Beach State Park. The parkway heads north, crossing South Oyster Bay and intersecting Loop Parkway before crossing onto the mainland and connecting to the Southern State Parkway in North Merrick. It continues north to the hamlet of Carle Place, where the Meadowbrook Parkway ends at exit 31A of the Northern State Parkway. The Meadowbrook Parkway is designated New York State Route 908E (NY 908E), an unsigned reference route. Most of the road is limited to non-commercial traffic, like most parkways in the state of New York; however, the portion south of Merrick Road is open to commercial traffic.
The Loop Parkway is a 2.65-mile (4.26 km) controlled-access parkway in Nassau County, New York, in the United States. It serves the barrier islands south of Long Island itself, beginning on Long Beach Barrier Island at an intersection with Lido Boulevard in Point Lookout. From here, it heads generally east–west across Alder and Meadow islands to an interchange with the Meadowbrook State Parkway on Jones Island, a part of Jones Beach State Park located just north of Jones Beach Island. The islands served by the Loop Parkway are separated by narrow channels of water, all of which connect to Jones Inlet. The parkway is maintained by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and inventoried by the department as New York State Route 908C (NY 908C), an unsigned reference route.
The Wantagh State Parkway is a 13.33-mile (21 km) controlled-access parkway on Long Island, New York, in the United States. It links the Ocean Parkway in Jones Beach State Park with the Northern State Parkway in Westbury. The parkway is located approximately 30 miles (48 km) east of Manhattan and 14 miles (23 km) east of the Nassau–Queens border.
The Ocean Parkway is a 15.59-mile (25.09 km) limited-access parkway that traverses Jones Beach Island between Jones Beach State Park and Captree State Park on Long Island, New York, in the United States. It begins at the southern terminus of the Meadowbrook State Parkway and heads east across Jones Beach Island, intersecting the south end of the Wantagh State Parkway before ending just past the southern terminus of the Robert Moses Causeway.

Nahant Beach Boulevard, also Nahant Causeway and Nahant Road, is a historic road on the isthmus connecting Nahant, Massachusetts to the mainland at Lynn, Massachusetts, United States. The road runs from the Lynn Rotary, its junction with Lynn Shore Drive and the Lynnway, about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to Wilson Road in Nahant. It passes through Nahant Beach Reservation, a state park offering beach access on the isthmus. The road offers expansive views of the area coastlines and Boston Harbor. Both the park and the roadway are administered by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.

US Post Office-Jamaica Main is a historic post office building located at the northwest corner of 164th Street and 89th Avenue in Jamaica in Queens County, New York, United States. It serves the 11432 ZIP Code. It was built in 1932–1934, and is one of two post offices in New York City designed by the architects Cross & Cross as a consultant to the Office of the Supervising Architect. The building is a two-story brick building on a light gray granite base with marble trim in the Colonial Revival style. It features a handsome marble portico supported by four Ionic order columns.
US Post Office-Long Beach is a historic post office building located at Long Beach in Nassau County, New York, United States. It was built in 1936 and designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect under the direction of Louis A. Simon. It is a one-story, symmetrically massed building faced with red brick in the Colonial Revival style. It features a central five bay wide section with a gable roof, flanked by single bay end pavilions with gable roofs perpendicular to the central section. The lobby features a Treasury Section of Fine Arts mural by Jon Corbino titled The Pleasures of the Bathing Beach (1939).
Greenridge-Arthur Williams House is a historic mansion located at Roslyn Harbor in Nassau County, New York, United States. It is a large, 2+1⁄2-story, Jacobethan Revival–style house constructed of concrete and faced in red brick. It features a steeply pitched slate roof with projecting bays, gables, dormers, and deep eaves. A 2-story gable-roofed Great Hall wing has a stone clad foundation and terminates in a five-sided bay to the north. Also on the property is a contributing former ice house.

Captree is a census-designated place (CDP) in the towns of Islip and Babylon in Suffolk County, New York, United States. It occupies Captree Island in Great South Bay, as well as the east end of Jones Beach Island to the south, comprising Captree State Park. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. Prior to that it was part of the Oak Beach–Captree CDP.
