Kunioon is a rural locality in the South Burnett Region, Queensland, Australia. [2] In the 2021 census, Kunioon had a population of 28 people. [1]

History

Kunioon Provisional School opened on 8 June 1891. [3] It later become Kunioon State School and closed in 1925. It reopened in 1928 and closed permanently circa December 1931. [4] [5]

Kunioon West Provisional School opened in 20 January 1902. On 1 January 1909, it became Kunioon West State School. It closed on 29 September 1946. [4] [6] It was on the north-western corner of the intersection of Goodger Gully Road, Kunioon West Road, and School Road ( 26°39′22″S151°51′52″E / 26.65598°S 151.86448°E / -26.65598; 151.86448 (Kunioon West State School (former)) ), now within the locality of Goodger. [7] [8] [9]
