The speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary (Hungarian : Magyarország Országgyűlésének elnöke, literally the president of National Assembly of Hungary) is the presiding officer of the National Assembly of Hungary. The current speaker is László Kövér, since 6 August 2010.

The speaker of the National Assembly serves as the acting president of Hungary if the elected president vacates the office before the expiration of the five-year presidential term due to death, resignation or removal from office, or temporarily if the president is incapacitated.

The minister of human capacities of Hungary is a member of the Hungarian cabinet and the head of the Ministry of Human Capacities. The minister of human capacities was Miklós Kásler until 2022, when this task was given to the minister of interior Sándor Pintér.

Between 2 April 2012 and 10 May 2012, Lezsák was temporarily the Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, as the resignation of Pál Schmitt led to Speaker László Kövér becoming acting President of Hungary. Once again Lezsák 26 February 2024 to 5 March 2024 temporarily became the speaker of the National Assembly, as the resignation of Katalin Novák led Speaker László Kövér becoming acting President of Hungary.

He is leader of the parliamentary group since January 2024, a position he held too for a brief time from May 2022 to September 2022.
