The Massive Range is a mountain range of the Canadian Rockies, located in the southwestern area of the Bow River valley in Banff National Park, Canada.

The rock layers on the western side of the Sawback Range dip below the Bow River valley and rise again on the western side under Massive Mountain. Pilot Mountain, Mt. Brett and Mt. Bourgeau are peaks in another block of Palaeozoic rocks thrust from the west over slightly younger rocks of the Massive Range. [5]
Mount Forbes is the seventh tallest mountain in the Canadian Rockies and the tallest within the boundaries of Banff National Park. It is located in southwestern Alberta, 18 km (11 mi) southwest of the Saskatchewan River Crossing in Banff. The mountain was named by James Hector in 1859 after Edward Forbes, Hector's natural history professor at the University of Edinburgh during the mid-19th century.

John Palliser named the range in 1859 after his sister Grace Fairholme, who had married William Fairholme.

The mountain was named in 1859 by James Hector after Sir John Richardson who was the ship's surgeon and naturalist on John Franklin's 1819 and 1825 expeditions into the Arctic.

Castle Mountain is a mountain located within Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, approximately halfway between Banff and Lake Louise. It is the easternmost mountain of the Main Ranges in the Bow Valley and sits astride the Castle Mountain Fault which has thrust older sedimentary and metamorphic rocks forming the upper part of the mountain over the younger rocks forming its base. The mountain's castellated, or castle-like, appearance is a result of erosive processes acting at different rates on the peak's alternating layers of softer shale and harder limestone, dolomite and quartzite.

Sunwapta Pass is a mountain pass in the Canadian Rockies in the province of Alberta. Sunwapta Pass is the low point of the saddle created between Mount Athabasca and Nigel Peak. The pass marks the boundary between Banff and Jasper National Parks. The Icefields Parkway travels through Sunwapta Pass 108 km (67 mi) southeast of the town of Jasper and 122 km (76 mi) northwest of the Parkway's junction with the Trans-Canada Highway near Lake Louise. The pass is the second highest point on the Icefields Parkway. Bow Summit in Banff National Park is the highest point on the parkway.

Neptuak Mountain was named by Samuel E.S. Allen in 1894. "Neptuak" is the Stoney Indian word for "nine" as Neptuak Mountain is peak #9 in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. It is located on the Continental Divide, which is also the British Columbia-Alberta border in this region, and is in the Bow Range of the Park Ranges of the Canadian Rockies. The summit is a tripoint for Banff National Park, Kootenay National Park, and Yoho National Park, where the three parks share a common border.
Bourgeau Lake is a rock-rimmed alpine lake at the foot of Mount Bourgeau near Banff, in Banff National Park, Alberta. It is a popular hiking destination. The trailhead is located at the Bourgeau Lake parking lot on the southwest side of the Trans-Canada Highway, 2.9 km (1.8 mi) from the turnoff for the Banff Sunshine ski resort. The hike takes on average 2.5 to 3 hours one way and ascends 725 m (2,380 ft) to a maximum elevation of 2,160 m (7,090 ft) The trail to the summit of Mt. Bourgeau starts at the western end of the lake.
