The proposed Bruce Highway Western Alternative will pass through Moorina from south to north. [3]
The locality name was originally a property name owned by J. W. Carseldine. The name is thought to be from Tasmania. [2]
Moorina State School opened on 1918 and closed on 1954. [4] The school was on Moorina Road ( 27°09′05″S152°52′40″E / 27.1515°S 152.8778°E ). [5]
