Westchester County is a county in the U.S. state of New York. It is the second-most populous county on the mainland of New York, after the Bronx, and the most populous county in the state north of New York City. According to the 2010 Census, the county had a population of 949,113, estimated to have increased to 967,506 by 2019. Situated in the Hudson Valley, Westchester covers an area of 450 square miles (1,200 km2), consisting of six cities, 19 towns, and 23 villages. Established in 1683, Westchester was named after the city of Chester, England. The county seat is the city of White Plains, while the most populous municipality in the county is the city of Yonkers, with an estimated 199,663 residents in 2018.

North Salem is a town in the northeast part of Westchester County, New York. It is a suburb of New York City approximately 50 miles north of Midtown Manhattan. The population of North Salem was 5,104 at the 2010 census.

It was built in 1915 and is one a number of post offices designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect under direction of Oscar Wenderoth. It is a two to three story, symmetrical building faced with limestone in the Classical Revival style. It is composed of a five bay central section with flanking one bay recessed wings.
US Post Office-Port Chester is a historic post office building located at Port Chester in Westchester County, New York. It was designed by consulting architects Zoller and Muller for the Office of the Supervising Architect, built in 1932–1933, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. It is a one-story symmetrical building faced with brick and trimmed in limestone and granite in the Colonial Revival style. The front facade features a projecting central pavilion with a shallow portico composed of two pairs of limestone Corinthian columns echoed by Corinthian pilasters. The lobby features four large murals and nine lunettes, designed by Domenico Mortellito and installed in 1936.
US Post Office-Scarsdale is a historic post office building located at Scarsdale in Westchester County, New York, United States. It was built in 1937 and designed by consulting architects Schultze and Weaver for the Office of the Supervising Architect. It is a symmetrically massed red brick building containing limestone trim in the Classical Revival style. It is composed of a two-story central section with flanking one story wings. The front facade features a three-bay recessed limestone portico supported by a pair of tall slender Doric order columns. The lobby features two murals by Gordon Samstag titled "Law and Order in Old Scarsdale" and "Caleb Heathcote Buys the Richbell Farm."
Union Hall is a historic commercial building located at North Salem, Westchester County, New York. It is impossible to trace its original owner and the date it was built due to omissions in the Land Records Office in White Plains. It was built around 1848 in the Italianate style. It is built into the side of a steep slope and has a two-story front facade and four stories at the rear. It is a rectangular, wood frame building sheathed in unpainted clapboard. The building once functioned as a store, meeting hall, stagecoach stop, and residence. Also on the property there was a contributing carriage barn. However The Carriage Barn roof caved in due to heavy snows in January 1996 and was demolished in 2001. It is currently owned by Janis Menken.
The Capitol Theatre is a historic theatre located in the village of Port Chester, Westchester County, New York. It was designed by noted theater architect Thomas W. Lamb and built in 1926. The 1,800-seat facility operates as a concert venue, hosting musicians and occasionally comedians, as owned and operated by NYC-based concert promoter Peter Shapiro. The Capitol Theatre has had a long history, with tenures as a movie theater and catering hall, in addition to hosting concerts.
Putnam and Mellor Engine and Hose Company Firehouse was a historic fire station located at Port Chester, Westchester County, New York. It was built in 1888 and is a three-story, three bay wide, masonry building in the Queen Anne style. It is constructed of red brick with stone stringcourses and terra cotta decoration. It features a low hipped roof with decorative gable ends and a corner bell tower.
Tuckahoe High School is a historic high school located in Eastchester, Westchester County, New York. It was built in 1930–1931, and is a three-story brick building with Aztec-inspired cast stone trim in the Art Deco style. The front facade is composed of a three-story, nine bay central pavilion, deeply recessed two-story, five bay connecting wings, and projecting, identical, two-story, five bay end pavilions.

South Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery is a historic home located at South Salem, Westchester County, New York. The cemetery was established in the 18th century, perhaps as early as 1710. It has a total of 373 identified graves, ranging in date from 1739 to 1928. Burials include veterans of the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War and War of 1812. It includes a number of notable 18th and 19th century grave markers.
