Two listings, the New York State Barge Canal and the Cobblestone Historic District, are further designated a National Historic Landmark.
The Fishkill Village District is a federally recognized historic district in that New York community. It is roughly defined as Main Street between Cary and Hopewell streets. Of the 108 buildings within this district, those that are contributing properties date from between the late 18th century to the late 19th century. A variety of architectural styles are represented, but predominant among them are several Greek Revival buildings.
The Cooperstown Historic District is a national historic district in Cooperstown, Otsego County, New York, that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It encompasses 232 contributing properties: 226 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, 3 contributing structures, and 2 contributing objects. Among the contributing properties is the village's post office, which is individually listed on the National Register.
Lowertown Historic District is a national historic district located at Lockport in Niagara County, New York. The district is predominantly residential in nature, with some commercial structures and warehouses. The mose elegant homes are along Market Street, east of Chapel Street, facing the Erie Canal. Notable structures in this district include the Western Block Company Warehouse, a 2+1⁄2-story stone structure built before 1855; Lockport Bank Building built in 1829, and located at 315-319 Market Street; Washington Hunt House, built in 1831 and home to New York Governor Washington Hunt, and located at 363 Market Street; the former Christ Episcopal Church at 425 Market Street; and the Vine Street School, an Italianate style one-room school built in 1864.
Canandaigua Historic District is a national historic district located at Canandaigua in Ontario County, New York. The district includes 354 residential, commercial, religious, and civic properties that constitute the historic core of Canandaigua. It incorporates the North Main Street Historic District. The structures date from the 1810s to 1930s and contains a number of distinctive buildings reflecting a variety of architectural styles including Greek Revival, Italianate, Colonial Revival. The Ontario County Courthouse is located within the district boundaries. Located in the district is the separately listed former United States Post Office.
South Main Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Geneva in Ontario County, New York. The district contains 142 contributing properties including 140 contributing buildings, as well as Pultney Park and the original quadrangle of the Hobart College campus. Over half of the structures date from 1825 to 1850.
Hervey Ely House, also known as the Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter House, is a historic home located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York.
Broome County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. It is a massive 2+1⁄2-story structure, built on a raised foundation, in the form of a Latin Cross and topped with an elegant copper dome. Originally constructed in 1897–1898 in a "T" shape, the south wing was added in 1916-1917 to form the cross. It was designed by noted New York State architect Isaac G. Perry. The courthouse is located within the boundaries of the Court Street Historic District.
Binghamton City Hall is a historic city hall located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York.
Court Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. The district includes 87 contributing buildings and encompasses the historic downtown core of downtown Binghamton. The majority of the contributing structures are commercial buildings built between about 1840 and 1939. Ten and twelve story office buildings built in the 20th century are prominent features of the district. Located within the boundaries of the district are the separately listed Broome County Courthouse and Binghamton City Hall.
Vesper Cliff an architecturally distinguished Greek Revival-style residence located immediately outside of the Town of Owego in Tioga County, New York. The primary dwelling is a building of "plank" construction to which was added about 1834, a monumental temple-fronted addition designed by architect Alexander Jackson Davis. Also on the property is an unusual barn with a distinctive neoclassical facade treatment, as well as a chicken coop and ice house.
US Post Office-Owego is a historic post office building located at Owego in Tioga County, New York. It was designed in 1917 and built in 1919-1920 and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect under James A. Wetmore. It is a symmetrical one story, red brick clad building on a raised foundation executed in the Colonial Revival style. It is a contributing structure in the Owego Central Historic District.
Tioga Centre General Store is a historic general store located at 3019 Rt 17 C Tioga Center in Tioga County, New York. It was built about 1849 and is a two-story, frame structure on an irregular coursed stone foundation. The building reflects the typical Greek Revival, front gabled style of commercial building popular in the mid-19th century.
Evergreen Cemetery is a historic rural cemetery located at Owego in Tioga County, New York. It was established by the village of Owego in March 1851. It is placed on a hill overlooking the village and Susquehanna River valley. In 1920, a small, Gothic style memorial chapel was constructed.
St. Paul's Church is a historic Episcopal church located at Owego in Tioga County, New York. It is a High Victorian Gothic style structure built of rough cut bluestone trimmed with orange brick and terra cotta. The church is composed of a small entry vestibule, the gabled main block housing the nave and chancel, a shallow transept lying opposite a semicircular Lady Chapel, a tower, and an arcaded porch and a sacristy. It was designed by architect William Halsey Wood (1855–1897) and was built in 1893–1894.
Old Homer Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Homer in Cortland County, New York. The district includes the historic core of the village of Homer centered on the village green. It includes a mix of residential, commercial, civic, and religious structures. Residences are primarily 2-story frame structures and commercial structures are 2- and 3-story structures constructed of brick. Included within the district is the Homer Town Hall (1908), the 3+1⁄2-story Jebediah Barber building (1863), 3-story Brockway Block (1887–1888), and residences dating to the 1810s. Also located within the district boundaries is the U.S. Post Office.
Jefferson County Courthouse Complex is a courthouse complex and national historic district located at Watertown in Jefferson County, New York. The district includes three contributing buildings; the courthouse building (1862), Clerk's Office (1883–1884) and Surrogate's Office (1905). The courthouse building is a two-story, red brick structure with limestone trim. It features a three-story tower on the northwest corner. It was designed by architect Horatio Nelson White.
Gansevoort–Bellamy Historic District is a national historic district located at Rome in Oneida County, New York, USA. The district includes ten contributing buildings, two contributing structures and two contributing objects. Located within the district are the former Rome City Hall, U.S. Post Office, Oneida County Courthouse and St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Tappan Historic District is a national historic district located at Tappan in Rockland County, New York. It encompasses 26 contributing buildings and three contributing sites. The district consists of 30 properties that reflect the historic commercial and residential core of the late 18th and 19th century village of Tappan. The Reformed Church of Tappan, The Old 76 House, Borcher's Stable and The Burton Store are located within the district boundaries.
New Concord Historic District is a national historic district located at New Concord in Columbia County, New York. The district includes 31 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and eight contributing structures. It encompasses mostly domestic properties and related outbuildings, most all of frame construction and the majority built in the early- to mid-19th century.
