Trams in India were established in the late 19th century. Horse-drawn trams were introduced in Kolkata in 1873; in Mumbai, trams began operations in 1874; Nashik in 1889; electric trams began in Chennai in 1895, and trams were also introduced in Kanpur and Delhi. They were discontinued in all Indian cities between 1933 and 1964, except for Kolkata.
Mokama is a town and a municipal council in barh of Patna district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is located 90 km (56 mi) east of Patna on the southern banks of the river Ganges. Mokama is the connecting town of north and south Bihar and has 2nd highest amount of lentil production in India. It emerged as an industrial area in State of Bihar after independence.
The Digha–Sonpur bridge or J. P. Setu is a rail-cum-road bridge across river Ganga, connecting Digha Ghat in Patna and Pahleja Ghat in Sonpur, Saran district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is named after Indian independence activist Jayaprakash Narayan. The rail-cum-road bridge provides easy roadway and railway link between northern and southern parts of Bihar. It is a steel truss bridge. Regular scheduled passenger rail service was inaugurated on this route on 3 February 2016. This bridge of 4,556 metres (14,948 ft) length is the second longest rail-cum-road bridge in India, after Bogibeel Bridge in Assam.
Patna Junction is a major railway station in the capital city of Patna in the Indian state of Bihar. It is the main railway station serving Patna. It falls under the Danapur division of the East Central Railway zone of the Indian Railways. Patna Junction is one of the busiest railway stations of the country.

Due to its location on the Howrah–Patna–Mughalsarai main line many Patna, Barauni-bound express trains coming from Howrah, Sealdah stop here.

Patliputra Junction, Station code (PPTA), is a railway station in the Rukanpura area in the West End of Patna, Bihar. The station, which is governed by East Central Railway and managed by Danapur railway division, lies on the Patna–Sonepur–Hajipur section. Located 12 kilometres north-west of Patna Junction, it has primarily been developed to ease pressure on the city's other two railway stations, through which roughly 350 trains pass daily. It is located near Bailey Road, an important western thoroughfare in Patna.
The Dhamara Ghat train accident occurred on 19 August 2013 when the Saharsa Patna Rajya Rani Express train struck a large group of people at the Dhamara Ghat railway station in the Indian state of Bihar. At least 28 people were killed and 24 were injured. The victims were mostly Hindu pilgrims returning from prayers at the nearby Katyayani mandir. The accident triggered a protest by passengers who beat the driver unconscious, attacked staff and torched two coaches of the train. The chief minister of Bihar State, Nitish Kumar, called it "the rarest of rare tragedies". He pledged 200,000 rupees, or around $3,180, to the victims' families, and urged the railway ministry to do the same.

He has being selected as one of the awardees in the Category: *Poet of the Year* for the title: *Embers of My Dream* by ukiyoto Literary Awards 2022. Digha has now become the first destination for people who entered in Patna from other district of Bihar from Sonpur route.
Patna City, popularly known as Patna Saheb or Patna Sahib, is a neighbourhood in Patna, Bihar, India. It is regarded as very sacred by the Sikhs in India. The tenth Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh was born there. The Patna Saheb Gurudwara is considered to be one of the holiest of the five "Takhts" or seat of authority of the Sikhs. The place is named Harminder Takht though the Sikhs respectfully call it Patna Sahib. The famous Guru Gobind Sahib Gurudwara is an important shrine for Sikhs from all over the world. Ashok Rajpath (road) connects Patna City to Patna.
Tengraha is a village in Minapur Block in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, India. It belongs to Tirhut Division. It is located 26 km north of the Muzaffarpur district headquarters, 8 km from Minapur, and 91 km from the state capital, Patna. It is surrounded by Gandak and Bagmati rivers. Most of the people in this village are farmers. This village, as well as the rest of Muzaffarpur district, is famous for its Lichee trees, which grow litchis fruit. The other railway divisions are Sonpur, Samastipur, Mughalsarai and Dhanbad. The revenue of division in 2014-15 fiscal was ₹900 crore (US$110 million).
Bharpura Pahlejaghat Junction, station code PHLG, is a railway station in Sonpur division of East Central Railway. Bharpura Pahlejaghat Junction is located in Sonpur city in Saran district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is located on the north end of Digha–Sonpur rail–road bridge, while Patliputra is on the south end of the bridge. Pahleja Station is 3.81 km from Sonpur and 11.46 km from Patliputra. It is connected to Sonpur on its east side and Parmanandpur station on its west side. In June 2017, a 20 kW roof top hybrid solar plant with 20% storage facility installed and commissioned at Pahaleja Ghat railway station.
The 350th Prakash Parv or birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh ji was celebrated in January 2017 in Patna, India. 2017 is the year of the 350th anniversary of the 10th Sikh Guru, a spiritual master, warrior, poet and philosopher. At the date of this anniversary, a number of events was organized on the occasion in Patna marking a grand celebration in their history.
Gaighat is a neighbourhood of Patna in the eastern state of Bihar in India. It is located on the southern bank of river Ganges in Patna. The southern flank of Mahatma Gandhi Setu bridge connecting Patna and Hajipur rises from Gaighat in Patna. One end of Pontoon Bridge (Peepapul) connecting Patna and Hajipur over the river Ganges is also located in the area. Gaighat is part of the wider Alamganj area in Patna.
Patna–Digha Ghat line was a railway line connecting Patna Junction and Digha Ghat railway station in the Indian city of Patna. It was constructed by the British in 1862, and functioned intermittently. The railway line was revived in 1962–63 and 2004 by the then Indian Railway Ministers, Jagjivan Ram and Lalu Prasad Yadav, respectively. Passenger train operations on the route were economically unviable due to low ridership. However, trains continued to run on the railway line in order to prevent encroachment.
