The 12393 / 12394 Sampoorna Kranti Superfast Express is an Daily Superfast Express train of Indian Railways passenger service, which runs between Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Patna in Bihar and New Delhi in Delhi . The service began running on 16 February 2002 and is one of the fastest train services in India, traversing the 1001-kilometre distance in under 12 hours, which puts it with likes of Patna Rajdhani Express, Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express, Agartala Rajdhani Express, Howrah Rajdhani Express. It is faster than the Shramjeevi Superfast Express, Magadh Express and Vikramshila Express and Bhagalpur Garib Rath Express on the same route. This train is also known as "Aam Janta ki Rajdhani" as its fare is less than that of Rajdhani Express but matches it in speed and punctuality (although Patna Rajdhani Express travels ten minutes faster than this train between New Delhi and Patna). It is quicker than few Premier Rajdhani Express Trains on Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction–New Delhi section.

The train is named in memory of the Sampoorna Kranti, that began in Bihar.

Service

The train makes only FOUR stops between Patna and New Delhi: at Kanpur Central, Mirzapur, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction and Ara Junction.The train is hauled by WAP-7. It has LHB coach. It is now operated on HOG system in which the power to coaches is provided directly from locomotive instead of EOGs (power cars). It is the first Superfast train in India to have a LHB rake. During its run with ICF coach it ran with the maximum length permitted in Indian Railway of 24 coaches. It is among the top priority trains of Indian Railways and does speeds of 130 km/hour [1] from 8 August 2015.

Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction is a transit division and the main objective is to maintain mobility of high density traffic. The present capacity of the Grand Chord is being optimally utilized. Traversing through Chota Nagpur Plateau of Jharkhand as well as parts of the fertile Gangetic plains of Bihar, the Grand Chord covers a stretch of 450.7 km (280.1 mi). The Grand Chord is renowned for its remarkable controlling of passenger traffic, despite being burdened with freight traffic.

The 20801 / 20802 Magadh Express is a superfast train running between New Delhi and Islampur. Its number is 20801/20802 and it departs from Islampur and reaches New Delhi the following day. In the past, its number was 2401/2402 and was run from the Northern Railway zone. Now it is run as a train from South Eastern Railway zone. Earlier a train named Sonbhadra Express used to run between Patna to New Delhi and vice versa. It was converted to Magadh Express after combining it with Vikramshila Express.
