Bindra is also the first Indian to have held concurrently the World and Olympic titles for the men's 10-meter air rifle event, having earned those honors at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2006 World Championships. Sergey Andreyevich Kruglov is a Russian sport shooter. In 2010, Kruglov had won a gold medal for the 10 m air rifle at the European Shooting Championships in Meråker, Norway, and eventually captured the bronze at the ISSF World Cup in Fort Benning, Georgia, United States. He is also a member of CSA Pomoriye and is coached and trained by Oleg Seleznev.

Konstantin Vladimirovich Prikhodtchenko is a Russian sport shooter. He is also a member of CSKA Moscow and is coached and trained by Victor Vlasov.

Brian Beaman is an American sport shooter. In 2011, Beaman had won a bronze medal for the men's 10 m air pistol at the ISSF World Cup in Fort Benning, Georgia, with a score of 686.6 points.

Park Bong-Duk is a South Korean sport shooter. He won two bronze medals in the men's 50 m rifle three positions at the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand, and at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea, with scores of 1,247 and 1,256.8 points, respectively. He also competed for two rifle shooting events at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, but he neither reached the final round, nor claimed an Olympic medal.

Shooting competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo were originally scheduled from 25 July to 3 August 2020, due to the postponement of the Summer Olympics to 2021, the rescheduled dates were on 24 July to 2 August 2021 at the Asaka Shooting Range. Unlike in 2016, the number of shooters competing across fifteen events at these Games had been reduced from 390 to 360, with an equal distribution between men and women. Furthermore, several significant changes were instituted in the Olympic shooting program, including the substitution of three male-only events, with the mixed team competitions.

Seonaid McIntosh is a British sports shooter who became the World Champion at the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships in the 50m Prone Rifle event. In 2019 she became Britain's most successful female rifle shooter of all time, winning five World Cup medals. She also became the first British Woman to rank World #1 for the 50m Rifle Three Position event and became European Champion in the 300m Rifle Prone event with an equal World Record score.

The 2017 ISSF World Cup is the annual edition of the ISSF World Cup in the Olympic shooting events, governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation.

The 2017 ISSF Junior World Championships was held in Suhl, Germany for Rifle, Pistol and Target Sprint from 22 June to 29 June 2017 and in Moscow, Russia for Shotgun from 30 August to 11 September 2017.

Saurabh Chaudhary is an Indian sport shooter. He won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games in 10 m air pistol and became the youngest Indian gold medalist to do so. He has won gold medals and set a new world record at the Junior World Cup. He has won gold medals at the World Championships, World Cup, Youth Olympic Games, Asian Games and Asian Championships. He broke his own world record with a score of 245.5 and claimed gold in junior men's 10m air pistol at the 2018 World Championships.

The 2021 ISSF World Cup is the annual edition of the ISSF World Cup in the Olympic shooting events, governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation.
