The building was designed by the architectural firm Schwartz & Gross, and built in 1929. The building is a contributing property within the Central Park West Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
240 Centre Street, formerly the New York City Police Headquarters, is a building between Broome and Grand Streets in the Little Italy neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City.
William Lee Stoddart (1868–1940) was an architect best known for designing urban hotels in the eastern United States. Although he was born in Tenafly, New Jersey, most of his commissions were in the South. He maintained offices in Atlanta and New York City.

Two properties, both buildings, that had been listed in the past but have since been demolished have been delisted; one building that is also no longer extant remains listed.

The Masonic Temple in Richmond, Virginia is a Richardsonian Romanesque style building built during 1888–1893, designed by Jackson C. Gott. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
The Harry Belafonte 115th Street Branch of the New York Public Library is a historic library building located in Harlem, New York City. It was designed by McKim, Mead & White and built in 1907–1908 and opened on November 6, 1908. It is a three-story-high, three-bay-wide building faced in deeply rusticated gray limestone in a Neo Italian Renaissance style. The branch was one of 65 built by the New York Public Library with funds provided by the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, 11 of them designed by McKim, Mead & White. The building is 50 feet wide and features three evenly spaced arched openings on the first floor. The branch served as Harlem cultural center and hub of organizing efforts.
The Hogg Building, also known as the Hogg Palace, is a building located at 401 Louisiana in Downtown Houston, Texas, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Colonial Village is a historic garden apartment complex located at Arlington County, Virginia, United States. It contains 226 contributing buildings built in four stages between 1935 and 1940. The buildings hold approximately 1,055 apartments. The brick Colonial Revival-style buildings are situated around courtyards with clusters of five and seven buildings to larger groupings of up to thirteen. Colonial Village was the first Federal Housing Administration-insured, large-scale, rental housing project erected in the United States. The complex has been converted to condominiums split into three phases and two apartment complexes: Colonial Village Apartments and Colonial Village West.
Medical Arts Building is an American historic medical office building located at Newport News, Virginia. It was designed by architect Charles M. Robinson and built in 1928. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
William Byrd Hotel is a historic hotel building located in Richmond, Virginia. It was built in 1925, and is an 11-story, Classical Revival style building consisting of a base, shaft and capital. It is a steel frame building clad in limestone, buff brick, and with terra cotta decorative elements. The building is topped by a three-story penthouse with a one-story addition. The hotel ceased operation in the 1980s, and the building was renovated into apartments in 1996. Currently, the William Byrd Apartments are owned by Project: Homes, a regional nonprofit dedicated to providing housing for low-income seniors.
116 John Street is a historic office tower at the southwest corner of John Street and Pearl Street in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan in New York City. It was built in 1931, and is a 35-story brick and terra cotta building consisting of a three-story base, a 19-story shaft, and 12 upper stories that recede in a series of setbacks. The building features Art Deco style design elements at the recessed entrances and in the lobby. Built as a speculative office building for insurance companies, the building interior was rehabilitated in 2013 and some floors converted to apartments.
Arvine Heights Historic District is a national historic district located at Rochester, Monroe County, New York. The district encompasses 61 contributing buildings in an exclusively residential section of Rochester. The district developed between about 1920 and 1942, and includes residential buildings in a variety of architectural styles including Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman. The dwellings reflect modest designs directed toward a middle-class clientele in a newly developing area of Rochester's Nineteenth Ward.
The Harriett was a historic apartment building located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built about 1905, and was a three-story, "U"-shaped, Classical Revival style yellow brick and grey limestone building. It has been demolished.
Buffalo Public School No. 57, also known as Broadway Village Elementary Community School, is a historic school building located in the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood of Buffalo, Erie County, New York. It was built in 1914, and is a three-story, red brick building over a full basement with Classical Revival detailing. It is connected to a one-story auditorium building by a one-story hyphen. The building was originally constructed as an addition to the original 1897 Public School No. 57, which was demolished in 1960. The school has been redeveloped as a multi-use facility including apartments, offices, and a community center.
