The Uttar Pradesh T20 League (UP T20) is a men's Twenty20 (T20) cricket league in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh contested by six city-based franchise teams. [1] The league is formed in 2023 by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association. It is usually played during post summer season from August to September of every year.[ First begun in 2023, it is planned to be held annually. [2] [3] [4] [5]

Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. Suresh Raina is an Indian former international cricketer. He played for Uttar Pradesh (UP) in domestic cricket circuit. He is an aggressive left-handed middle-order batsman and an occasional off-spin bowler. He is the second-youngest player ever to captain India. He was the captain of Gujarat Lions in the Indian Premier League (IPL), and he also served as vice-captain of the Chennai Super Kings. He is the first Indian batsman to hit a century in all three formats of international cricket. During his time with India, he won the 2011 Cricket World Cup and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. Raina made history being the first Indian to score a century in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which he did with his 101 runs against South Africa at the 2010 Tournament.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a men's Twenty20 (T20) cricket league that is annually held in India. The league, which was founded by the BCCI in 2007, is contested by ten city-based franchise teams. The IPL is usually held in summer between March and May every year. It has an exclusive window in the ICC Future Tours Programme, meaning fewer international cricket tours happening during IPL seasons.

Kumar swings the ball both ways efficiently, with his inswingers more effective than outswing. Initially starting his career as an opening swing bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar upgraded his bowling armoury with reverse swing, slower bowls and Yorkers to become a death over specialist too. With India, Kumar won the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He became the first bowler to win a purple cap of IPL in two consecutive seasons.

Rinku Khanchand Singh is an Indian International cricketer. He is a left-handed middle order batter and a part-time right-handed off break bowler. India will also host tours from West Indies, Sri Lanka and Australia. India will also host home games for Afghanistan which include tours from West Indies and Ireland. South African women toured India. India won the WT20I series 3–1 and WODI series 3–0. Originally, Zimbabwe were scheduled to tour India in January 2020. However, in September 2019, India cancelled the Zimbabwe series following the ICC's suspension of Zimbabwe Cricket, with Sri Lanka replacing them.

Major League Cricket (MLC) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in the United States. Operated by American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) and sanctioned by USA Cricket, it began play on July 13, 2023, with six teams representing major US cities under a single-entity model. The first season took place over three weeks at Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas, and Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina, concluding on July 30, 2023. <span class="mw-page-title-main">2021–22 Ranji Trophy</span> Cricket tournament

The 2021–22 Ranji Trophy was the 87th season of the Ranji Trophy, the premier first-class cricket tournament in India. The tournament was split into two phases, with the league stage being played from 17 February to 15 March 2022, and the knockout phase played from 6 to 26 June 2022. Due to the delayed start of the tournament because of the COVID-19 pandemic, teams were split into eight Elite groups, instead of five as per previous editions, and the Plate Group. The seven teams that won their Elite Group with the best points progressed to the knockout phase. They were joined by the winner of the pre-quarter-final match between the Elite Group winning team with the fewest points and the winner of the Plate Group.

The 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy was the 29th edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, an annual List A cricket tournament in India. It was played from 8 December 2021, and finished on 26 December 2021. Mumbai were the defending champions.

The 2015–16 Senior Women's T20 League was the 8th edition of the women's Twenty20 cricket competition in India. It took place in January 2016 with 26 teams divided into an Elite Group and a Plate Group. Railways won the tournament, their seventh in a row, by topping the Elite Group Super League.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">SA20</span> Cricket tournament

SA20, known as the Betway SA20 for sponsorship reasons, is a Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament in South Africa, organised by Cricket South Africa (CSA) and first contested during the 2022–23 season. It is contested by six teams based in cities around the country. The first winners of the tournament were Sunrisers Eastern Cape.

The 2023 UP T20 League was the inaugural edition of the UP T20, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league in Uttar Pradesh, India.The league was organised by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association in 2023. The tournament was played between 27 August to 16 September 2023.
