It was scheduled to begin at 13 March 2011 and to end at 27 November 2011; however, the start of the season has been delayed to 23 April due to the aftermath of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. As a result, the ending date of the season was moved to 11 December.

The 2012 Japan Football League was the fourteenth season of the Japan Football League, the third tier of the Japanese football league system. It has started on March 11, and finished on November 18.

The 2013 Japan Football League is the 17th season of the third tier of the Japanese football, and the 15th season since the establishment of Japan Football League. It started on 10 March and finished on 24 November.

The 2014 Japan Football League was the first season of the nationwide fourth tier of Japanese football, and the 16th season since the establishment of Japan Football League. The first stage of the season commenced from 16 March to 8 June, and the second stage of the season commenced on 19 July, and ended on 9 November, while post-season championship playoffs were held on 23 and 30 November.

The 2015 Japan Football League was the second season of the nationwide fourth tier of Japanese football, and the 17th season since the establishment of Japan Football League. The first stage of the season was played from 8 March to 7 June, and the second stage of the season from 20 June to 15 November, while post-season championship playoffs were held on 29 November and 5 December.

The 2023 Japan Football League is the tenth season having a fourth-tier status in Japanese football and the 25th season since the establishment of the Japan Football League. The matches are mostly broadcast/streamed live at Japan Football League's channel.

The 2023 Japanese Regional Leagues was the 58th edition of the Japanese Regional Leagues, the fifth tier of the Japanese football league system. The winners of the first division of each Regional League, along with other three best-placed teams of the Shakaijin Cup, qualified for the 2023 Regional Champions League, competing for a spot in the 2024 JFL.
