2026 Formula Winter Series

The 2026 Formula Winter Series is the fourth season of the Formula Winter Series. It is a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations, and is organised by Gedlich Racing. The championship consists of five rounds in Portugal and Spain, beginning on 24 January at Circuito do Estoril and ending on 15 March at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Contents

The rookies' championship features a separate classification for the first time, rather than the title being awarded to the highest-placed rookie in the drivers' championship.

Calendar

The calendar expanded from four rounds in previous seasons to five rounds in 2026. The season opener was half at Circuito do Estoril, the series' first visit to the track. All rounds supported the GT Winter Series. [16]

Scoring system

Points are awarded to the top ten classified drivers, the highest-classified driver in each qualifying session, [17] and the fastest lap holder as follows: [16]
