The Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU) is an East Asian organisation comprising 19 research universities. It was established in January 1996 at the suggestion of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. [1] The purpose of the organisation is to promote regional exchange and cooperation among member institutions,and to open a forum where leading East Asian universities may share research results.

Central Asia is a subregion of Asia that stretches from the Caspian Sea in the southwest and Eastern Europe in the northwest to Western China and Mongolia in the east,and from Afghanistan and Iran in the south to Russia in the north. It includes Kazakhstan,Kyrgyzstan,Tajikistan,Turkmenistan,and Uzbekistan. The countries as a group are also colloquially referred to as the "-stans" as all have names ending with the Persian suffix "-stan" in both respective native languages and most other languages.
Jadavpur University is a public state funded research and technology university with its main campus located at Jadavpur,Kolkata,West Bengal,India. It was established in 1906 as Bengal Technical Institute and was converted into Jadavpur University in 1955. As of 2023 NIRF rankings,Jadavpur University has been ranked 4th among universities,10th among engineering institutes,and 13th overall in India. The Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA),formerly known as the Indian Ocean Rim Initiative (IORI) and the Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation (IOR-ARC),is an international organisation consisting of 23 states bordering the Indian Ocean. The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union,formed in 1964,is a non-profit,professional association of broadcasting organisations. It currently has over 287 members in 57 countries and regions,reaching a potential audience of about 3 billion people. The ABU's role is to help the development of broadcasting in the Asia-Pacific region and to promote the collective interests of its members.
