The Bunya Highway enters the locality from the south (Cooranga) and exits to the east (Mannuem / Kumbia). [3]
Boyneside Provisional School opened on 1927. It became Boyneside State School in 1929. It closed in 1969. [4] It was on the north-western side of a bend in the Bunya Highway near its junction with Nords Road (approx 26°43′31″S151°31′59″E / 26.72538°S 151.53306°E ). [5] [6]
