The Brazelton House is a historic house located at 401 North Main Street in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
William P. Brazelton was an early leader in the city's development, owning the Brazelton Banking House and the Brazelton House Hotel. His house, built in 1858, is the earliest substantial residence built here, and it is a significant contribution to its domestic architecture. [2] The main form for this two-story brick structure is the Italianate style, however it combines other styles into its design and ornamentation. Moorish elements are found in the front porch, especially in the arches. Romanesque influence is found in the windows of the tower, the two-story turreted bay, and the single-story bay. Under the eaves are found smaller single brackets in between sets large double brackets.
The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 27, 1983. [1]

The William H. McGuffey House is a historic house museum at 401 East Spring Street, on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, United States. Built in 1833, it was the home of author and professor William Holmes McGuffey (1800–1873) from then until 1836. It is believed to be the site where he wrote the first four of the McGuffey Readers, widely popular instructional texts used to educate generations of Americans. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1965. It is now operated by Miami University as the William Holmes McGuffey Museum.

The Armstrong House is a historic house located in North Adams, Massachusetts. Built about 1875, it is a well-preserved example of a locally idiosyncratic Italianate style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 25, 1985.
The former Reading Municipal Building is a historic building at 49 Pleasant Street in Reading, Massachusetts. Built in 1885, this two-story brick building was the town's first municipal structure, housing the town offices, jail, and fire station. In 1918 all functions except fire services moved out of the building. It now serves as Reading's Pleasant Street Senior Center. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Chamberlin House is a historic house at 44 Pleasant Street in Concord, New Hampshire. Built in 1886, it is a prominent local example of Queen Anne architecture built from mail-order plans, and now serves as the clubhouse of the Concord Women's Club. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
Old Main is a historic building located on the Iowa Wesleyan University campus in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, United States. Built in 1854, when James Harlan was the college's president, it is the second building constructed on the campus after Pioneer Hall. It is believed that Old Main was the first genuine collegiate building built in Iowa. The bricks for the building were manufactured locally by Benjamin Franklin Pearson of Keosauqua, Iowa, who also was responsible for some of the building's construction. The three-story building has modified classical features. It was designed to have classrooms on the first two floors and the library, natural history museum and chapel on the third floor. The building is capped with a hip roof with bracketed eaves, and a wooden cupola with a low dome painted gold.
Mount Pleasant, also known as the Samuel Cahoon House, is a historic home located near Smyrna, Kent County, Delaware. It built about 1810, and consists of a two-story, five-bay, gable-roofed brick main house with an interior brick chimney stack at either gable end and a one-story, gable-roofed brick kitchen wing. It is in a late Georgian / Federal vernacular style and measures 43 feet by 25 feet. Also on the property are a contributing early 19th-century smokehouse and barn.
The Clark Perry House is a historic house on Court Street in Machias, Maine. Built in 1868, it is one of Washington County's most elaborate examples of Italianate architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Built as a school about 1854, it has had a history of varied uses and prominent local owners, and has high quality Colonial Revival and Italianate features. The George and Margaret Cooper House is a historic building located in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, United States. It is a fine example of the Italianate style, which was a popular style for residential architecture in Mount Pleasant from the 1850s to the mid-1880s The two-story brick house features an asymmetrical plan, a low-pitched hip roof, wide bracketed eaves, and long, narrow windows. The full-width front porch has square paneled columns with foliate designs in the capitals and brackets. A single-story wing is attached to the rear of the house. A two-story, five sided wing was added to the west side of the house about ten years after the main part of the house was built. The house was built for George Cooper, a taylor, and it remained in his family until 1921. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
The Brazelton House Hotel is a historic building located in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, United States. William P. Brazelton was an early leader in the city's development. He owned the Brazelton Banking House and he was one of the directors of the Brazelton House Company, which built the hotel. It is not clear, specifically, why the hotel bears his family name. The construction of the hotel in 1856 coincided with a building boom in Mount Pleasant with the extension of the Burlington and Missouri River Railroad into town. It was built with the belief that Mount Pleasant would need a large first class hotel, but it had financial problems from the beginning and went through a series of owners until it no longer functioned as a hotel about 1970. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. In 2015 the upper floors were converted into apartments while the main floor continued to house retail businesses.
The Budde–Singer Building is a historic building located in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, United States. This three story, brick Italianate structure was built in 1882. It replaced a similar building that had been built in 1856 and destroyed in a fire. Its early Italianate style is unusual for this time period, but it fits into its streetscape with similarly designed buildings, including the neighboring Brazelton House Hotel. The Budde–Singer Building features round arched windows with brick patterned hoodmolds on the second and third floors, and a bracketed wooden cornice. The first floor storefront has been somewhat altered, and the exterior of the building has been painted since about 1909. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
The Timmerman–Burd Building is a historic building located in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, United States. The previous building on this lot was destroyed in a fire in 1883 and Henry Timmerman had this building constructed to replace it the same year. The two story brick structure is one of several building facing the town square in the Italianate style. This building features a single storefront, and four segmental arch windows on the second floor with simple brick patterned hood molds. The bracketed metal cornice at the top of the main facade was mass-produced and likely ordered from a catalog. Burd worked for Timmerman and took over the business. This building housed a shoe store as late as the 1990s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
The Zuhn Building is a historic building located in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, United States. Completed in 1886 a block east of the town square, this three story, brick, Italianate structure replaced a single story building that had housed the Mount Pleasant Carriage Works. H.A. Zuhn had that building torn down and this one built so he could expand his business. He used this facility to manufacture and repair vehicles. The only decorative element of the building is the bracketed metal cornice with date and pediment caps across the top of the facade. The double storefront has been altered somewhat over the years. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
The Henry Magill House is a historic house at 390 Palisado Avenue in Windsor, Connecticut. Built in 1861, it is a well-preserved and locally rare example of Second Empire architecture executed in brick. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
