Department of Rehabilitation, Haryana is a Ministry and department of the Government of Haryana in India.
This department came into existence when Haryana was established as a new state within India after being separated from Punjab. The department is responsible for the rehabilitation of displaced people who have lost their homes due to government land acquisition. Dushyant Chautala
is the cabinet minister responsible for this department from October 2014. [1] Haryana State Archives has recently acquired the records of Rehabilitation Department, Haryana (1946-1956) relating to claims and allotments. [2]
Haryana is an Indian state located in the northern part of the country. It was carved out of the former state of East Punjab on 1 November 1966 on a linguistic basis. It is ranked 21st in terms of area, with less than 1.4% of India's land area. Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University is a public funded agricultural university located at Hisar in the Indian state of Haryana. It is the biggest agricultural university in Asia. The university has 8,645 acres (3,499 ha) of land. It is named after India's fifth Prime Minister, Chaudhary Charan Singh.
Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), formerly Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), is the urban planning agency of the state of Haryana in India except Gurugram and Faridabad which has Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority and Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority respectively. It was established in 1977. The Minister of Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana is the chairman of the authority. The headquarters of the authority is located in Panchkula, Haryana.
Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) is an Indian state-owned power distribution utility company. It is owned by Government of Haryana and its headquarter is located in Hisar city of Haryana, India. It has two Operation Zones namely Hisar and Delhi. Each zone is headed by Chief Engineer. Both Zones have Operation circles namely Hisar, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Jind and Bhiwani in Hisar Zone and Gurugram-I, Gurgugram-II, Faridabad, Palwal, Rewari and Narnaul in Delhi Zone. Each circle is headed by Superintending Engineer.
Forests Department, Haryana is a department of the Government of Haryana in India that runs and maintains many protected nature areas in the state of Haryana. It has two administrative divisions: Forest and Wildlife. The department is responsible for maintaining National Parks, Wildlife Sanctuaries and Conservation Reserves in Haryana. It also provides a special emphasis on Soil and Moisture Conservation works in the hills to conserve water and deliver it to adjacent farmlands. Two National Parks, eight Wildlife Sanctuaries, two Conservation Reserves, four Animal & Bird Breeding Centres, one Deer park, and 49 herbal parks. Kanwar Pal Gujjar has been the cabinet minister responsible for this department since October 2019. constitute the Protected Area network of the department, covering 0.75% of the state. It also maintains a list of Protected Areas in Haryana.
