George C. Boldt Yacht House is a historic yacht house located on the northeast shore of Wellesley Island near Alexandria Bay in Jefferson County, New York. It was commissioned by George Boldt to house the many watercraft he owned and is adjacent to Boldt Castle. [2]

The yacht house was designed by the Philadelphia architects G. W. & W. D. Hewitt and built in 1903. It is a massive, eclectic, Shingle-style structure composed of five elements, which are:

The yacht house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. [1] On display in the yacht house is the steam yacht Kestrel , as well as various other vintage boats, a number of which are on loan from the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, New York. [3]

Ligonier Point Historic District is a national historic district located at Willsboro, Essex County, New York. The district encompasses 8 contributing buildings, 16 contributing sites, 7 contributing structures, and 3 contributing objects related to stone quarrying, boat building, and farming by the Clark family during the 19th century. They include the Clark Quarry and Farm, Scragwood, and Old Elm or the Corrin Clark Farm Complex. The American Boathouse is a historic boathouse on Atlantic Avenue in Camden, Maine. Built in 1904, it is one of the nation's oldest recreational boathouses. It was built to house the 130-foot (40 m) yacht of Chauncey Borland, the first commodore of the Camden Yacht Club. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. In early 2015, it was listed for sale at $2.5 million.
