The Inanwatan people are an ethnic group that inhabits the southern coast of the Doberai Peninsula, especially in the district of Inanwatan and several surrounding districts in the province of Southwest Papua, Indonesia. [2] The distribution area of the Inanwatan people borders the Kokoda people in the east and the Tehit people in the west and north. [3]
The Inanwatan people is included in the Imekko peoples which is the indigenous population of South Sorong Regency, the others are Matemani, Kais, and Kokoda. [4]
