The Kalumpang people are known as an ethnic group that is very protective and preserves their ancestral heritage, one of which is the traditional weaving ( tenun ) tradition known as sekomandi. The sekomandi weaving is not just a cloth, but a reflection of the identity and pride of the Kalumpang people, which is passed down from generation to generation through unique techniques and motifs that are full of meaning. [3]

The uniqueness of the Kalumpang people's culture is also reflected in their traditional clothing, namely bei, a traditional outfit rich in symbolism and aesthetic value. The bei is not just clothing, but also a representation of history, beliefs, and noble values that are firmly held by the Kalumpang people.
