The Taikat people (Taigat, Daiget, Daikat), also known as the Abrab (Abrap, Abraf, Abrop) or the Arso, is an ethnic group originating from Arso and West Arso districts of Keerom Regency in the province of Papua, Indonesia. [2] They live in the villages of Arso Kota, Workwana, Sawyanawa, Bagia, Sekware, Girere, Kwimi, and Bate. [3] Taikat language which is a member of the Border language family is used as a mother tongue, apart from that they can use Papuan Malay and Indonesian which are the lingua franca. [4] [5]
