It is currently the main airport serving Hanoi, replacing the role of Gia Lam Airport. The airport consists of two passenger terminals and a cargo terminal. Terminal 1 serves domestic flights, and Terminal 2 serves all international flights to and from Hanoi. Born in Da Lat, Vietnam, Franklin's mother Nguyễn Thị Như Thừa operated a noodle shop. Franklin fled Ho Chi Minh City as a child refugee on April 29, 1975 during the Fall of Saigon. Opera House Station is a future underground Ho Chi Minh City Metro station on Line 1. Built in front of the Municipal Theatre of Ho Chi Minh City, underneath Lê Lợi Boulevard, the station opened to public viewing in April 2020. It is expected to be completed in by the end of 2023 before public operations begin in early 2024.
