Named after the national hero José Rizal, it is a part of Radial Road 9 (R-9). The LRT Line 1 elevated railroad is built above the street in its entire length, and several jeepneys ply the area taking passengers from Caloocan, Quezon City, and Valenzuela. The avenue forms part of National Route 150 (N150) of the Philippine highway network.
Taft Avenue is a major road in the south of Metro Manila. It passes through three cities in the metropolis: Manila, Pasay, and Parañaque. Chino Roces Avenue, formerly known as Pasong Tamo, is a prominent north–south road in the cities of Makati and Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines It runs for 5.80 kilometers from Olympia and Tejeros to Fort Bonifacio. The avenue is named after Joaquin "Chino" Roces, journalist, founder of The Manila Times and Associated Broadcasting Company, and an opposition figure during the Marcos Sr. administration. Boni Avenue is a major east–west thoroughfare in Mandaluyong, eastern Metro Manila, Philippines. It is a six-lane divided avenue that runs from Aglipay Street to Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA). After crossing EDSA via the EDSA-Boni tunnel, the road continues as Pioneer Street towards Pasig. The avenue is named after the nickname of Bonifacio Javier, a decorated guerrilla leader during World War II and former mayor of Mandaluyong.
