The New National Party (NNP) was a South African political party formed in 1997 as the successor to the National Party,which ruled the country from 1948 to 1994. The name change was an attempt to distance itself from its apartheid past,and reinvent itself as a moderate,mainstream conservative and non-racist federal party. The attempt was largely unsuccessful,and in 2005 the New National Party voted to disband itself.

Désirée van der Walt is a South African politician. She has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the opposition Democratic Alliance (DA) since 2014. She previously served in the Assembly from 2004 to 2010. She represented the party in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature from 2010 to 2014. Van der Walt has held various leadership positions in the Democratic Alliance and the Shadow Cabinet.
Thomas Charles Ravenscroft Walters is a South African politician of the Democratic Alliance (DA) who has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since May 2014. He served as a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature from 2009 to 2014. In 2012,Walters was elected Deputy Federal Council Chairperson of the Democratic Alliance,and has been deputising Federal Council Chairperson Helen Zille since 2019. He deputised James Selfe from 2012 to 2019. Walters was the party's Shadow Minister and Shadow Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform.
Mohammed Haniff Hoosen is a South African politician who has served as a Member for the National Assembly for the Independent Democrats (ID) (2007–2014) and currently for the Democratic Alliance (DA) (2014–present). Within the Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet,he serves as the DA's spokesperson on the Standing Committee on the Auditor-General. He was the Shadow Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from 2019 to 2020. Hoosen was also the Shadow Minister of Home Affairs from 2014 to 2019.
Mmoba Solomon "Solly" Malatsi is a South African politician from Limpopo. He has been a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since May 2014. He was the national spokesperson of the Democratic Alliance (DA) from June 2018 to November 2020. Malatsi was also the Parliamentary Counsellor to the DA Parliamentary Leader. He has also held posts in the DA's shadow cabinet.
Veronica van Dyk is a South African politician who has served as a Member of the National Assembly since May 2014. A member of the Democratic Alliance,she is party's deputy shadow minister of sports,arts and culture. Van Dyk served as a ward councillor of the Nama Khoi Local Municipality from 2011 to 2014.
Andrew Grant Whitfield is a South African politician currently serving as the Shadow Minister of Police and as a Member of the National Assembly for the Democratic Alliance. He is the chairperson of the DA in the Eastern Cape and the leader of the party's Tsitsi-Kouga Constituency. Whitfield had previously served on the Nelson Mandela Bay city council and in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature.
Maliyakhe Lymon Shelembe is a South African politician. Shelembe was an Inkatha Freedom Party member until 2011. He was elected to the National Assembly in 2014 as a member of the National Freedom Party. Shelembe became a Democratic Alliance MP after the 2019 elections.
Baxolile Babongile Nodada is a South African politician for the Democratic Alliance who has been a Member of Parliament since 2019,and the Shadow Minister of Basic Education and the Parliamentary Counsellor to the Leader of the Opposition in John Steenhuisen's Shadow Cabinet since 2020.
Janho Engelbrecht is a South African politician and a member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the opposition Democratic Alliance. He had previously served as a member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature.
