Vallabh Vidyanagar, also known as V.V.Nagar, is a town and a municipality in Anand district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is located between Ahmedabad and Vadodara, 6 km (3.7 mi) from the town of Anand. V.V.Nagar is renowned as an educational hub of Gujarat and is home to the prestigious Sardar Patel University.

Daudnagar town is Subdivisional Headquarter of Daudnagar sub-division in Aurangabad district in the state of Bihar, India under the Magadh division. Until 1991, there was only one Subdivision in the Aurangabad district: Aurangabad Sadar. On March 31, 1991, one other Sub-Division, Daudnagar, was created. Daudnagar is a 200-year-old historical city and its living proof is Daudnagar has an old historical fort, situated on the eastern bank of the Son River. National Highway NH139 which connects Jharkhand's Palamu district to Patna, passes through the town. Daudnagar was founded by Daud Khan. The area between Daudnagar and Aurangabad assumed great strategic importance when Daud Khan, Aurangzeb's Subedar in Bihar, marched against the Raja of Palamu. As a mark of victory against the Raja in the year 1664, Daud Khan founded the city of Daudnagar. The surrounding area was also granted to him as a Jagir by the emperor. Early in the 18th century, Buchanan saw it as a flourishing town with cloth and opium factories. The Sarai, built by Daud Khan was possibly intended to serve as a stronghold, as it was well-fortified with a battlemented wall, two large gates and a surrounding moat. Mariahu (Mariyahu) is a town and a nagar panchayat in Jaunpur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Its name Mariahu was given by Nanwag (Nandwak) king Naun Rao in 16th century on the name of Mandav Deo, the patreon deity of the Nanwag clan. The samadhi of Mandav dev is situated near to Chutka Devi temple which is in the east of tehsil. Mostly tehsil was ruled by Nanwag Rajputs who were the local rulers during 16th and 17th century. Baghi Sangram Singh a leader of the Nanwags revolted against the British East India company during the revolt of 1857 and defeated them on several occasions. It is one of the six tehsils of Jaunpur district, with the others being Jaunpur city, Shahganj, Machalishahar, Badlapur and Keraket.

Patliputra Junction, Station code (PPTA), is a railway station in the Rukanpura area in the West End of Patna, Bihar.
