Geography

Karingal is a neighbourhood within the south of the locality ( 27°05′00″S151°14′00″E / 27.0833°S 151.2333°E / -27.0833; 151.2333 (Karingal) ). [3] [4]

Pirrinuan railway station is an abandoned railway station on an abandoned Jandowae railway line. It was on Dalby Jandowae Road ( 27°01′59″S151°14′08″E / 27.0331°S 151.2355°E / -27.0331; 151.2355 (Pirrinuan railway station (former)) ). [5] [4]

History

Pirrinuan State School opened on 21 August 1911 and closed circa 1963. [6] It was on Dalby Jandowae Road to the immediate north-east of the railway station (approx 27°01′50″S151°14′14″E / 27.0305°S 151.2372°E / -27.0305; 151.2372 (Pirrinuan State School (former)) ). [7] [8] [4]

In the 2016 census Pirrinuan had a population of 193 people. [1]
