Species

Sneathia is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming and non-motile genus of bacteria from the family of Leptotrichiaceae. [1] [3] [4] Species have been identified as pathogens associated with bacterial vaginosis. [5]

Sneathia is named after the microbiologist Peter H. A. Sneath. [6]
