The racial makeup of the town was 95.2% White, 0.4% African American, 0.9% Native American, 0.9% Asian, and 2.6% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.8% of the population.
There were 112 households, of which 14.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.7% were married couples living together, 3.6% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.5% had a male householder with no wife present, and 39.3% were non-families. 33.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.04 and the average family size was 2.56.

The town of Weston was incorporated in 1835 and was supposedly named for "the man who surveyed the town in 1835" who's full name is unknown.

Blaine, then Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. According to the Blaine 1974 Centennial Celebration Pamphlet, the town's namesake donated a schoolhouse bell in return for the town changing its name. The bell, cast in 1875 by William Blake & Co., now resides in the former Blaine Grange Hall and is under the care of the Central Aroostook Historical Society.
