The 2007 East Dorset District Council election took place on 3 May 2007 to elect members of East Dorset District Council in Dorset, England. The whole council was up for election and the Conservative Party stayed in overall control of the council after a net gain of one seat. [1]

A by-election was held in Corfe Mullen South after Liberal Democrat councillor Stewart Hearn resigned from the council. [6] The seat was held for the Liberal Democrats by Philip Harknet with a majority of 128. [6]
