The 2020 Jonesboro, Arkansas mayoral election was held on November 3, 2020, to elect the next mayor of Jonesboro, Arkansas. The election was nonpartisan, meaning the candidates' party affiliations affiliations did not appear on the ballot. Incumbent Mayor Harold Perrin did not seek re-election for a fourth term. Former Democratic member of the Arkansas House of RepresentativesHarold Copenhaver was elected with just over half of the votes.
Harold Perrin was elected mayor of Jonesboro in the 2008 election, and was reelected twice, completing his third term in 2020. In 2020, he announced that he would not be running for reelection. Perrin endorsed Copenhaver, who had challenged Perrin in the 2016 election.

On May 4, 2020, Shatley announced his campaign for the Jonesboro mayor's office. His campaign focused on "three pillars of success", which he defined as "trust, transparency, and teamwork."[1]
Copenhaver publicly announced his campaign on August 3. He stated that Jonesboro needs to be "more appealing to future generations if we are going to move in the right direction,” saying, "We need improvements in quality of life, increased public safety, and to recruit companies that will offer good paying jobs in our community."[2]
