Description

This department came into existence when Haryana was established as a new state within India after being separated from Punjab. The department obtains credit and monitors borrowing from banks and other credit institutions. The department has no field office. [1] The Cabinet Minister Captain Abhimanyu Singh Sindhu is the minister responsible for this department from October 2014. [2]

Karnal Airport

Karnal Airport,, the home of "Karnal Aviation Club", is an airstrip situated about 3 km east of Karnal in the state of Haryana, India. It is being used for General Aviation and Pilot Training. There are no scheduled commercial flight operations. To upgrade this airport to domestic airport under UDAN scheme, provision of INR20 crore each was made in 2017-18 and 2018-19.

Captain Abhimanyu Singh Sindhu is an Indian politician. He was cabinet minister with independent charge of eight departments in the Government of Haryana state in India in the first-ever government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana.
