The Centro Ponceño de Autismo, or CEPA, is the only center specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of autism in Puerto Rico. It is a non-profit organization. The center leads progressive research studies and medical training while providing comprehensive, personalized care to children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), including Asperger's Disorder and PDD NOS. Working together with families, the Centro Ponceño de Autismo aims to identify the causes of autism and advance effective treatments. In 2011, it was reported that the Center cared for 179 patients.

Capaldi filmed the 42-second video in character as the Twelfth Doctor from the BBC science-fiction series Doctor Who. Capaldi's message had a positive effect on Thomas: he smiled for the first time since learning of his grandmother's death, and gained the courage to go to her funeral.

Silvia Marin is a flamenco dancer, who is best known for her work with her company called El Flamenco vive. She was born in Italy, and was first exposed to flamenco dance when she was 20. This prompted her to move to Spain to study the art, and has since worked on stage, television, film and other projects. She founded El Flamenco Vive in 1997, to promote the dance to children, especially Spanish children. The company has performed at major cultural festivals in Europe and other countries such as the Festival Internacional Cervantino in Mexico. Her work has been recognized with various awards including the Premio Cultural a la Didáctica from the XLVII Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas and the Onoreflicenza di Cavaliere Dell’ Ordine della Stella della Solidarietá Italiana.
The International University of La Rioja (UNIR) is a private open university in Spain focused on online education, based in Logroño, La Rioja. Also has presence in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. In December 2019, the institution had more than 45,000 distance learning external students, 12,000 of them overseas students.
