Warangal is a city in the Indian state of Telangana. It serves as the district headquarters of both Warangal Urban District and Warangal Rural District. With a population of 830,281 per 2011 Census of India, and spreading over an 406 km2 (157 sq mi), Warangal served as the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty which was established in 1163. The monuments left by the Kakatiyas include fortresses, lakes, temples and stone gateways which, in the present, helped the city to become a popular tourist attraction. Bhubaneswar–Cuttack Police Commissionerate(Odia:ଭୁବନେଶ୍ଵର-କଟକ ପୋଲିସ କମିଶନରେଟ),established in 2008, is a city police force with primary responsibilities in law enforcement and investigation within the metropolitan area of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack. It was formed under the Orissa Urban Police Act, 2003 by a gazette notification which came into effect on 1 January 2008. It has 43 police stations under its jurisdiction. Mr. S.K. Priyadarshi, IPS is currently the Commissioner of the Bhubaneswar–Cuttack Police Commissionerate.

Commissioners of Police (CP) are IPS officers who get higher executive powers than those available to a Superintendent of Police (SP) or Senior SP (SSP) in charge of a district in India. Commissioner of Police is a post that can be held by an IPS officer of the rank SP and above, depending upon the sanction provided by the respective state government. The jurisdiction held by CP is known as Police Commissionerate and can combine several adjoining districts under it.
