Kuppam Airport (Domestic Airport) is a public airport under construction at Kuppam, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. [1] The greenfield airport will be built by the Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (INCAP). [2] The airport is to handle Passengers and cargo operations. The project site is located at Shantipuram mandal, about 25 km (16 mi) from the proposed eight-lane Chennai–Bangalore Expressway, and will be built at an estimated cost of 100 crore (equivalent to 114 croreorUS$14 million in 2020) in 1,000 acres (4.0 km2). History

The regions around Kuppam has a wide horticulture presence with several plantations of flowers, fruits and vegetables. The Chittoor district has also seen an increased industrial activity. To benefit the economy of the area, a cargo airport has been proposed. [1]

In 2015, INCAP conducted a feasibility study for the development of five greenfield airports in the state, including Kuppam. [3] [4] The Central Government of India cleared the proposal for an airstrip at Kuppam on 2 August[ failed verification ] 2018. [1] The then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, laid the foundation stone for the airport project on 3 January 2019. [5] It was originally slated to complete the construction within the next eight months. [5] Construction is expected to Start in the Year 2023 and to be completed by December 2024.[ citation needed ]

Kuppam is a Legislative Assembly constituency of Andhra Pradesh. Nara Chandrababu Naidu is the present MLA of the constituency, who won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from Telugu Desam Party.

Gangavaram Port, located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Inaugurated in July 2009, it has a depth of 21m. It is managed by Gangavaram Port Ltd., a special-purpose company floated by Mr. DVS Raju, who serves as its chairman and managing director. The company is owned by the DVS Raju Group (58.1%), Adani Ports (31.5%) and the Andhra Pradesh Government (10.4%).

Ramagundam Airport is a proposed airport located at Kesoram Cement Factory in Basanth Nagar serving the city of Ramagundam, in the Indian state of Telangana. The existing airstrip was served by Vayudoot in the 1980s until the airline was shut down. Currently, the Telangana State Government intends to further develop the airport.

The Polavaram Project is an under construction multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in the Eluru District and East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh. Nellore Airport is a proposed greenfield airport project near Dagadarthi, India, intended to serve the Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh. The airport is to be developed on 1,352 acres (5.47 km2) of land with an estimated cost of 368 crore.

Vijayawada Metro is proposed light rail transit system in the Indian city of Vijayawada. The system is proposed to reduce traffic congestion in the city and consists three corridors which will construct in 3 Phases. Phase-I covering 24.5 km, phase-ll covering 12.50 Km, phase-lll covering 28 km. The project was estimated approximately ₹15,000 crore. It was proposed in the form of light Metro which consists of 3 coaches.

Kurnool Airport, officially known as Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport, is a greenfield airport at Orvakal, Kurnool district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is situated on National Highway 40, about 18 km (11 mi) from Kurnool and 54 km (34 mi) from Nandyal. The airport is built in 1,008 acres (4.08 km2) at a cost of 153 crore (US$19 million) as a low-cost airport to improve connectivity to remote areas. The airport has begun commercial operations in March 2021.
