Bharuch - Ankleshwar Airport is a greenfield airport being constructed at village Mandva on National Highway 8 [1] near Ankleshwar, Gujarat, India. The Airports Authority of India has cleared the techno-economic feasibility report for the proposed airfield [2] and was expected to be operational by 2013. [3] The Gujarat State Aviation Infrastructure Company Limited has acquired 80 hectares of land for the construction of the airport. The Airport Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the State Government in January 2019 for the construction of airport and a maintenance, repair and overhaul unit spread over 92 hectares. [4] Bharuch-Ankleshwar Airport is expected to handle 10% of India's total air cargo. [5]

The airport will serve Ankleshwar, Bharuch, the Jagadia and Panoli Industrial areas, the Dahej SEZ and the upcoming Petroleum Chemical and Petrochemical Investment Region. The Ankleshwar Industries Association had proposed the construction of the airport to the State Government in 1995. The Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation had agreed to construct the airstrip and terminal, but the project was eventually referred to the Gujarat Industrial Development Board. [6]

The Kalpasar Project or the Gulf of Khambhat Development Project envisages building a 30 km dam across the Gulf of Khambat in India for establishing a huge fresh water coastal reservoir for irrigation, drinking and industrial purposes. The project with 30 km sea dam will have the capacity to store 10 billion cubic meters fresh water, equating to 25% of Gujarat’s average annual rainwater flow, from the rivers like Narmada, Mahi, Dhadhar, Sabarmati, Limbdi-Bhagovo, and two other minor rivers. A 10 lane road link will also be set up over the dam, greatly reducing the distance between Saurashtra and South Gujarat. The project, which will create world's largest freshwater lake in marine environment, will cost INR90,000 crore or US$12.75 billion excluding the cost of tidal power plant. Project entails construction of the main "Kalpasar dam" across Gulf of Khambat and another Bhadbhut barrage on Narmada river, as well as a canal connecting the two.

Dhalbhumgarh Airport is a proposed domestic airport, which will serve the city of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. It will be built on a former World War II era airfield in Dhalbhumgarh in East Singhbhum district, about 60 km (37 mi) from Jamshedpur. The Government of Jharkhand and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the construction of the airport on 24 January 2019. Under the MoU, a joint venture company would be set up to construct the airport. The project was initially expected to be completed by December 2020.

Kuppam Airport is a public airport under construction at Kuppam, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The greenfield airport will be built by the Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited. The airport is to handle Passengers and cargo operations. The project site is located at Shantipuram mandal, about 25 km (16 mi) from the proposed eight-lane Chennai–Bangalore Expressway, and will be built at an estimated cost of 100 crore in 1,000 acres (4.0 km2).

New Chennai Greenfield International Airport is a proposed greenfield airport project to serve the city of Chennai, India. It will be built near Parandur of Kanchipuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It will serve the city alongside the existing Chennai International Airport. The proposed airport will be spread around 5,000 acres. The Government of Tamil Nadu has declared that Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) will lead the project. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) conducted surveys on various areas near Chennai for a new airport for the city. Initially, a site near Sriperumbudur was fixed for the airport. But due to delays and cost of the land, the government decided to set the new airport in Parandur. The airport will also boost trade from Chennai and neighbouring districts as it will have its own dedicated cargo terminal, leading to a rapid increase in the economic development of the state.
