Neyveli Airport( IATA : NVY, ICAO : VONV) is located in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu, India. The airport is owned by the Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) and is located at National Highway 45C, adjacent to the NLC township. The airport is spread over 220 acres and has a 3000 square metre apron suitable for one ATR-72 sized aircraft. [1] Vayudoot used to operate flights to Chennai Airport with their Dornier Do 228-100 from here in the 1990s but services were withdrawn after a while. [2]
The Airports Authority of India is upgrading the airport to enable commencement of commercial flights under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) by the end of 2018. Civil work such as runway re-carpeting, construction of terminal building, etc., have been taken up.[ citation needed ]

NLC India Limited (NLC) is a central public sector undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. It annually produces about 30 million tonnes of lignite from opencast mines at Neyveli in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India and at Barsingsar in Bikaner district of Rajasthan state. The lignite is used at pithead thermal power stations of 3640 MW installed capacity to produce electricity. Its joint venture has a 1000 MW thermal power station using coal. Lately, it has diversified into renewable energy production and installed 1404 MW solar power plant to produce electricity from photovoltaic (PV) cells and 51 MW electricity from windmills.

He became the first ever Indian swimmer to breach the FINA "A" Olympic qualification time when he clocked an Indian national record time of 1:56.38 in the 200 m butterfly event at the 2021 Sette Colli Trophy in Rome. With this time he qualified for the 200 m butterfly event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. As of June 2021, he is the holder of 11 Indian national swimming records in events spanning freestyle, butterfly, medley and relay categories. Sajan is currently training with Aqua Nation Sports Academy (ANSA) based in Dubai.
